Last night (technically 1AM EDT) the "managers amendment" was put into the "big beautiful bill" and it is still looking good [not done yet..] for the HPA and still "iffy" (my term) for the SHORT Act but if we keep hammering their phone lines that does make a difference....

I live in Rhode Island. No matter how many times I call my reps, they always vote against pro gun bills. Half the time, they just hang up.

The "big beautiful bill" has passed in the Senate without removing suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, etc... from the NFA. Now is the time to call/email your reps and let them know you support Rep Clyde's amendment that puts the HPA & SHORT Act back in the bill 🦅

According to my contacts "on the hill" - Rep Andrew Clyde has been holding the line behind closed doors to ensure the Hearing Protection Act and SHORT Act are put back into the "big beautiful bill" which President Trump says he will sign. This is a generational opportunity to get some of our 2nd Amendment rights restored. Update from Rep Clyde & Erich Pratt at GOA. Bottom line - both the HPA and SHORT Act are *very real* possibilities. "Don’t give up. Never ever ever give up. Keep the pressure on. Keep pressing on & making those phone calls. Contacting your members of Congress and encouraging them to ensure that barrels are included in budget reconciliation does make a difference!"

Remember when Rep Joe Wilson yelled "you lie!" when President Obama said his legislation wouldn't use taxpayer funds to insure illegal invaders? It was a big "scandal" in the media at the time but Rep Wilson was proven to be correct. Yesterday, the Senate decided they "had to" keep that program in place due to a "rule."
