I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

So, a lot of you have been talking about Wuthering Waves' optimization. Let me explain. 5700G (16 MB L3 Cache) + RX 9060 XT (FSR Quality) vs 5800X3D (96 MB 3D V-Cache) + RTX 5060 Ti (DLSS Quality) Note: I even increased the graphics settings on the 5060 Ti to show the difference. Explanation: Both GPUs deliver similar performance overall, but you'll notice higher FPS on the right side. Why? The Ryzen 7 5800X3D's 96 MB 3D V-Cache significantly improves performance in Wuthering Waves, especially 1% lows and overall frame consistency. In my testing, the performance improvement was around 40% compared to the 5700G. One reason is that Wuthering Waves is very CPU-sensitive, particularly in open-world areas. There are also optimization issues that Kuro Games still needs to address. I'm not trying to downplay anyone's PC. I'm simply pointing out that Wuthering Waves benefits a lot from CPUs with larger L3 cache, similar to games like Crimson Desert, STALKER 2, and Black Myth: Wukong. PS5 Performance Kuro Games still needs to improve the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions. Even some demanding games perform better on those consoles, so there's definitely room for optimization. New Mark Cerny PS5 Pro Technical Seminar. Some interesting info. GPU is a hybrid of RDNA tech Base tech - RDNA2.X (RDNA2 + 3) Ray Tracing - RDNA4 Machine Learning - Custom Not fully RDNA3 to reduce workload for ports/code. Doesn't have RDNA3 shader executables and double floating point calculations, though it does have other RDNA3 and custom features such as extra vertex and primitive processing, more shader instructions for ML etc. Not having double FP is why Tflop count is 16.7 Tflop and not 33.5 Tflop, but Tflop count difference is "meaningless", esp to real world performance, and they didn't need 32bit calculation bump. Though interestingly PS5 Pro still retains 8 operations per lane for 67 Tflops of 16bit performance. Custom ML hardware has 300 TOPS of performance. PS5 Pro also has over 1GB of extra GDDR6 ram for games vs PS5, thanks to extra DDR5 system ram that many OS operations have been moved on to. Ray Tracing is roughly 2-3x faster than equivalent PS5 performance. Goes both ways; likewise to those who slated franchises like Forza Horizon, only to now glaze them once they release on PS5. The real one's are consistent with their genre and game preferences, and the acknowledgement of quality, irrespective of the platform pushing it.

It is still blowing my mind that the new Lego Batman is a new Arkham game in nearly every single way. I literally cannot wait! Things to be hyped about in Lego Batman: - Open world Gotham City that isn't in a state of "lockdown", there are civilians all around the city for once! - Arkham style combat, described as being nearly identical and all your muscle memory will work from those games - The story covers nearly all Batman movies and big moments, I really adore this aspect and excited to see how its all integrated - Customizing the batcave is a dream come true - The Batmobile and bat bikes look so fun to drive, and actually being able to use the movie batmobiles like the tumbler or the muscle car from The Batman with movie-accurate engine sounds is impressive - Gotham City is massive, I definitely think this is much bigger than Arkham Knight, and it looks really detailed with a distinct style in each island - Having difficulty settings in a lego game for what I believe is the first time ever is a huge thing for me as I always thought they were too easy and wished there was an option to add challenge, which they finally have - Co-op is always fun, I do wish they had online co-op but I'll def play this in couch co-op with my brother Are y'all hyped for Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight? Wuthering Waves PS5 Performance Test • Test Setup PS5 Slim (brand new, clean, no dust) Room temperature: 22°C with AC • Map Issue Yes, it's real. The new map is locked to around 2 FPS when opened from the menu, making it extremely laggy. • Stuttering Problems The game has severe stuttering. In some areas, it even freezes for 4–5 seconds, making the experience frustrating. • My Observation From my testing, the game appears to be running at a very high internal resolution on PS5 instead of relying on aggressive upscaling. For example, DLSS Quality at 1440p renders the game internally at approximately 1707×960 before upscaling it to 2560×1440. Another Speedrun to Division 1 is complete. All of the games were against quality opponents. Gameplay felt good and there were times where the game felt a bit random but overall the game felt clean. I obviously love the Smart Assist filter and I hope they eventually delete Smart Assist entirely it’s such a dumb feature. Noobs who don’t know what they are doing are able to compete against high level players it doesn’t make any sense. And it’s not like this game is hard to get the hang of it’s literally so easy to play eFootball. I had to set my search settings to “Search nearby area only” so I didn’t get paired with players from Brazil and the southern parts of South America because playing those guys are not fun since the games are so laggy. Same 3-6-1 setup with the same usual instructions. Remember to use Out Wide to counter Long Ball Counter and Long Ball and Quick Counter for the other play styles. 🤝👊
