First time installing GTA 5 Enhanced Edition on my PC and oh my god the graphics look insane. 🤯 Last time I played GTA 5 was in 2020 when I was playing the normal edition. I had no idea Rockstar Games had improved the graphics this much with ray traced shadows, reflections, global illumination, DLSS, FSR and more. I’m going to start a new playthrough of the Enhanced Edition before GTA 6 and experience the game all over again with these new settings.

As a lifelong gamer, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to push gaming experiences forward across CPUs, GPUs, software, and games. My team and I have been working hard to evolve AMD FSR 4 and bring it to more cards. We power over 1 billion gaming devices worldwide. It’s a responsibility we care deeply about. 🎮 This July, RDNA 3 players will experience FSR Upscaling 4.1, delivering sharper visuals and smoother gameplay than ever before. I’m grateful to our fans. Your enthusiasm and ideas inspire us to keep pushing gaming forward. FSR Upscaling 4.1 on RDNA 3 will be ready out of the box for Radeon 7000 Series players in over 300 supported games at launch. And for our RDNA 2 players, we have something exciting coming in early 2027. FSR Upscaling 4.1 will be coming to your cards as well, bringing sharper visuals and smoother gameplay to even more gamers. We cannot wait to show you what is next. Stay tuned 🚀

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

So, a lot of you have been talking about Wuthering Waves' optimization. Let me explain. 5700G (16 MB L3 Cache) + RX 9060 XT (FSR Quality) vs 5800X3D (96 MB 3D V-Cache) + RTX 5060 Ti (DLSS Quality) Note: I even increased the graphics settings on the 5060 Ti to show the difference. Explanation: Both GPUs deliver similar performance overall, but you'll notice higher FPS on the right side. Why? The Ryzen 7 5800X3D's 96 MB 3D V-Cache significantly improves performance in Wuthering Waves, especially 1% lows and overall frame consistency. In my testing, the performance improvement was around 40% compared to the 5700G. One reason is that Wuthering Waves is very CPU-sensitive, particularly in open-world areas. There are also optimization issues that Kuro Games still needs to address. I'm not trying to downplay anyone's PC. I'm simply pointing out that Wuthering Waves benefits a lot from CPUs with larger L3 cache, similar to games like Crimson Desert, STALKER 2, and Black Myth: Wukong. PS5 Performance Kuro Games still needs to improve the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions. Even some demanding games perform better on those consoles, so there's definitely room for optimization. I hope this helps! If you have any questions or want the best settings for your PC, feel free to ask. #WutheringWaves #Gacha

NTE is currently the best-optimized Unreal Engine gacha game !! My Specs = 5700G + 9060 XT (undervolted) > I’m playing on Ultra settings at native 1440p (no SSR or Lumen) > AMD GPU users: stop using Lumen or SSR if your GPU is not RX 9000 series > Native resolution = 70–90 FPS > FPS drops happen because of the undervolt and while recording > If you need help, just comment your specs and I’ll help you optimize the game. The game is very optimized compared to most UE games ! #NTE #Nevernesstoeverness

Metal Gear Solid Delta is poorly optimised on all platforms and it's disingenuous to use it as indicative of typical PS5 Pro advantages. Even in its infancy PS5 Pro's often delivering on Cerny's target of it achieving PS5 30fps mode like fidelity, only at 60fps. Numerous tentpole games this year show sizeable improvements. Battlefield 6 Beta - "Substantially" better IQ and up to 55% better fps than PS5 in performance mode. Assassin's Creed Shadows - Generationally tansformative RTGI/fidelity mode settings, but at 60fps. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Fidelity and graphics settings of PS5's 30fps mode, but at 60fps. Death Stranding 2 - Near locked 60fps with similar IQ and fidelity as PS5's 30fps mode. Monster Hunter Wilds - Far superior image stability and more consistent 60fps vs PS5. As someone who bought a PS5 Pro at launch, I can absolutely say it's been worth it for me, and I'd struggle to go back to the base system. There will always be outliers like MGS Delta, but they don't represent typical improvements PS5 Pro generally brings. Much like PC releases with issues like shader compilation or traversal stutter, or more general bugginess vs console counterparts, it would be unfair to use those things as indicative of PC gaming performance improvements in totality, or to conclude all PC gaming hardware is a scam lol. Context matters. Video compilation. #PS5Pro #PS5 #DigitalFoundry

Soon playing PlayStation 5 games on your Quest 3 is going to be insanely easy. Asobi is a phone app for streaming your PS5 games both from your local console and via Wi-Fi, and also playing PSN streaming games. There is a native application that's currently in testing on the Quest 3 right now I just got to test out. It works incredibly well and there are a ton of settings that you can adjust and change, including the ability to play games in what sounds like a 3D mode, which I haven't tested yet and that is still very early. Apparently. This is insanely easy in comparison to having to side load a separate PSN app or another Android app and try to authenticate. This was so so easy.

The reason why Reflections in GTA 6 look noisy and blurry isn't because Rockstar Games doesn't know how to do them or that a $2 billion budget magically fixes this. It all comes down to the GPU in current gen consoles, these consoles don't have the power they need to render high resolution Ray Traced reflections in real-time and corners had to be cut. Here I'm running GTA 5 enhanced for PC at ultra settings to show you how good and clean the reflections look if you have high-end and recent hardware that have AI upscaling to make this possible. That being said, The PS5 Pro console is much more powerful compared to the base PS5 (the footage which GTA 6 was captured) offering higher resolution, 45% faster rendering, 2X-3X better Ray Tracing performance and PSSR upscaling. With the PS5 Pro, it will have significantly better looking and sharper reflections somewhat close to what GTA 5 Enhanced reflections look like on a gaming PC at high settings. However, the ultimate experience will still be on PC when GTA 6 launches, allowing for the highest quality Ray Tracing or even Path Tracing if Rockstar Games decides to implement it.

New Mark Cerny PS5 Pro Technical Seminar. Some interesting info. GPU is a hybrid of RDNA tech Base tech - RDNA2.X (RDNA2 + 3) Ray Tracing - RDNA4 Machine Learning - Custom Not fully RDNA3 to reduce workload for ports/code. Doesn't have RDNA3 shader executables and double floating point calculations, though it does have other RDNA3 and custom features such as extra vertex and primitive processing, more shader instructions for ML etc. Not having double FP is why Tflop count is 16.7 Tflop and not 33.5 Tflop, but Tflop count difference is "meaningless", esp to real world performance, and they didn't need 32bit calculation bump. Though interestingly PS5 Pro still retains 8 operations per lane for 67 Tflops of 16bit performance. Custom ML hardware has 300 TOPS of performance. PS5 Pro also has over 1GB of extra GDDR6 ram for games vs PS5, thanks to extra DDR5 system ram that many OS operations have been moved on to. Ray Tracing is roughly 2-3x faster than equivalent PS5 performance. ML hardware are PlayStation custom additions to RDNA that they themselves designed in collaboration with AMD. #PS5Pro #PS5 Full video below

Here's what Crimson Desert does right: >It is one of very few AAA games that hasn't switched to Unreal Engine 5, instead Pearl Abyss developed this game on their own proprietary game engine >Pearl Abyss refused Sony's offer to make this game a timed PS5 exclusive >3 Performance modes on base consoles Performance, Balanced and Quality (except Xbox Series S) >PSSR 2 day one for PS5 Pro and FSR Redstone day one for PC >The developers were very open to performance testing and reviews >Offers so many gameplay mechanics that give the player freedom to finish quests and missions any way that they want to >It is highly detailed and massive open-world game with a huge focus on exploration This game is a breath of fresh air, if it manages to live up to the hype and delivers, Pearl Abyss will definitely become one of the best open-world developers!

When people rank Halo players, they usually mean tournament resumes. That’s fair. Rank my competitive career however you want. I’m talking about the actual Halo games. The entire FPS series. Not just one title and not just the competitive settings. The maps, the sandbox, the modes, the different generations, and knowing how those games actually play. You can argue where I belong on a list. That’s opinion. What’s separate is being able to play a lot of different Halos at a high level. I think I’m one of the most complete players this series has had. That part of it just gets overlooked.

Back in 2006, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion blew my mind. I still remember the first time I stepped out of the sewers and into the vast world of Tamriel… I couldn’t believe how real it felt. My jaw was literally on the floor. It wasn’t just the game itself; it was the whole experience. There’s something special about those moments where you get completely lost in a world, and Oblivion gave me that in a way no other game had before. Fast forward to 2025: Oblivion Remastered is here, and it looks better than ever — launched with AMD FSR 4. It’s surreal to see a game I’ve loved for so long come back to life in such a powerful way. It’s an honor to be a part of this moment, working alongside Microsoft and Bethesda to bring Oblivion back in such a meaningful way.
