#DRC - #USA : The world is slowly beginning to understand that diplomatic propaganda driven by lobbying does not reflect the reality on the ground. Congo does not only need peace, it needs sustainable peace that addresses the root causes of conflict. Any process that ignores governance failures, exclusion, and lack of accountability will only prepare the stage for renewed instability. The United States must prioritize what is best for the Congolese people, not simply echo the position of officials in Kinshasa. Listening equally to civil society, opposition leaders, and faith-based institutions is essential. An imposed peace including any Washington-driven framework that lacks national ownership risks being temporary and fragile. Leadership from CENCO and ECC offers a credible pathway toward a truly inclusive national dialogue. Sustainable peace cannot be imposed. It must be built from within. Well done to the Committee on Foreign Affairs for advancing an approach grounded in facts and accountability. Encouraging transparency and bringing truth to light is essential for building trust, restoring credibility, and fostering sustainable solutions. The EU remains fully engaged with global partners and the broader international community to advance the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Peace, security, and dignity for both Israelis and Palestinians require political courage, sustained engagement, and collective responsibility. Our guiding framework remains UN Security Council Resolution 2803. Early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza can only be sustainable if anchored in a credible political horizon-the Two-State solution. Without that horizon, reconstruction will not deliver lasting stability.

Occupation, annexation, and the erasure of Palestinian rights and identity in Gaza, the West Bank including Jerusalem must end. The Palestinian struggle for liberation and self-determination is over a century old. Gaza will not be separated from Palestine. And the Palestinian people will represent themselves.
