My wife, Aditi Malhotra Chaturvedi, is a Judge Most people who know us, know how madly proud I am of her. But all of that pride comes at a cost .. I also, unfortunately, need reminders to “understand” the meaning of why she does what she does, while bearing all that she has to in that process So kudos to the makers of #MaamlaLegalHai on Netflix, a satirical show that depicts in each of the 8 episodes courtroom highlights beyond the courtroom that’re lifted straight up from real incidents, bound by a central narrative around some super endearing characters in VD Tyagi, Ananya Shroff, Sujata, Munshi Ji, PP Saab, & others. It’s a kickass show that anyone and everyone will love, for its humour and emotion, & yet, it shows so much of the “judiciary”, so much of how one of the most important pillars of our country operates, with incredible detail Sharing two clips from the last episode, which made Aditi’s eyes tad bit wet, and my chest swell each bit of those 56 inches. I realise though that I can do better than just feeling this pride. It isn’t easy in first place. We see each other not more than 5-6 days in a month. We are not able to be with each other on days good and bad, when ‘that magical hug’ would have meant everything. We give up a lot. Rather, she gives up a lot. Driven by some unknown force, a deep-rooted emotion to do “justice” I live in a world where everything is simplified, productised, incentivised, and even then “motivations” aren’t easy to build. And on the other hand, is this world. Somewhere in a remote corner with remote amenities. With no line of sight on pay, incentives, promotions etc. With no team engagement, no offsites, no ESOPs, no awards. Yet, mad work ethic. Yet, passion to play every day, every hour, with your everything. Yet, a commitment to sacrifice your prime to serve others. I keep wondering what she’s made up of .. There is a life she leads inside the courtroom. Which I have had a chance to “witness” a few times. Just about always manages to send chills down my spines. And there is a life that she leads outside it. Half a day / long train ride away. Where she works incredibly hard again to make everyone ‘feel her presence’ in fullness To be able to do “justice” in your own life, with your own people, while putting yourself out there, is an unbelievable feat that goes unnoticed and uncelebrated .. Every Monday morning when she heads back, we all (including Buzo) remain a bit numb for a few hours … and then life catches up. Waiting for the next opportunity to see each other, hold each other, laugh with each other, cry with each other, just “be” with each other. Which also always makes us feel very ‘grateful’ for whatever time we get. My job doesn’t help. But I try. She tries harder. We make it work. Having been in love since forever helps .. Few weeks back, when Aditi’s dad was in the ICU, she rushed back late in the night only to head back right next morning on that 6 am train. I asked her on the platform that morning if it was necessary to go, and she said a hundred people, across age groups, were waiting for “justice”, and even a single day missed means these ‘files’ which translates to “human lives” get pushed by 5-6 months, such is the sheer volume of litigation in our country’s courts Like the series pretty well shows, a great number of times, what happens inside the court affects. Even as I write in the moment, I am rubbing my temples, shaking my head in disbelief, as I recall the absolute horrid state of criminal and civil suits I’ve seen play out. She’s become thicker with time, you don’t have a choice, but a lot of these cases, when I narrate them in my founder/VC/tech brethren, almost a cent percent are shell-shocked and don’t relate to this India But here we are :) As obsessed as I am with what I do for a living, I realise in moments like these that part of my diktat in this life is to help Aditi win, and do better, for the millions that are invisible to the India that I serve ..

Suzanne Pleshette achieved television immortality in her role as Bob Newhart's wife in the 1970s classic situation comedy, The Bob Newhart Show (1972). For her role as “Emily Hartley” wife of psychologist “Bob Hartley” (played by Bob Newhart), Pleshette was nominated for the Emmy Award twice, in 1977 and 1978. She was also nominated for an Emmy in 1962 for a guest appearance on the TV series, Dr. Kildare (1961) and, in 1991, for playing the title role in Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean (1990) in a 1990 TV movie. Her acting career lasted almost 50 years. Suzanne Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937 in New York to Gene Pleshette, a TV network executive who had managed the Paramount Theatres in Manhattan and Brooklyn during the Big Band era, and the former Geraldine Kaplan, a dancer who performed under the pseudonym Geraldine Rivers. Pleshette claims that she was not an acting natural, but just “found” herself attending New York City's High School of the Performing Arts. Extremely long thread: A couple weeks ago I entered the spirit realm weekly online tournament, during that time I teabagged another player which you guys all know by the name of shinblade. This made him upset in which he responded by calling me trash etc. so I responded by saying tell them why you got bagged. He then switched up his attitude & it’s time to tell the truth behind this “beef.” He’s tried to say the reason I’m doing this is over a tournament even though we both know the truth, & we both know my emotions within tekken would never evoke something like this so I’m going to tell it all. I just want to start this by saying that I deeply apologize to my long time best friend and the women of the fgc that have been affected by this individual. As a man I find it my responsibility to protect and honor the women of our community. This has been weighing heavy on me & I always try to find the most non confrontational ways to handling problems but with some situations and with some people you HAVE to do the right thing. So with that being said this is what happened. During the tournament combo breaker shinblade sexually assaulted my best friend in his car & once outside of the car. When she told me what happened I immediately was pissed because this is someone that I care deeply about and I also cared about him & never would’ve thought he would disrespect me or her in that way. She never cared about the situation initially considering her history with men engaging her sexually out the gates due to her sex work history. But for me it made me sick because no matter what or how a woman presents herself it doesn’t give any man the right to take consent away from that woman. My best friend doesn’t know him, & has no reason to lie especially to me. She trusted him because I did. He was under the impression that she was my girlfriend (which makes this worse tbh) so when I confronted him the first time he immediately said “What are you talking about” He then changed his story to “She came onto me” now months later he’s claiming “I have a witness that seen us in the car” even tho you had tinted windows. Everything up to this point has been lies, he can’t answer simple yes or no questions whereas her story has never changed. He’s also sexually assaulted another woman I personally know at the tournament KIT. I’ve tried MULTIPLE times to talk to him and try to come to some type of understanding considering this was once a good friend of mine. I had to record our conversation because from the very beginning this is exactly how he’s reacted to my questioning. Even tho I know my best friend isn’t lying and never would I just wanted to hear his side but he can’t even give me that. I even reached out to his girlfriend who even informed me that he’s had previous allegations outside of the 2 women I know of for sexual assault which was then deemed a “lie” but I don’t know any honest man who gets random sexual allegations pinned on them back to back. She begged me not to say anything even though I never was & my intentions from the beginning was to get an apology for me and nicki & for Marcus to be a real man and take accountability. It was clear as day that she believed everything that was brought to her but protecting her boyfriend was more important. If I’m being completely honest she’s the straw that broke the camels back. She made me realize that he’s been doing this for YEARS & she’s been enabling this behavior. I’m so sorry for holding this information but going forward I will always put the victim first, and this is not to say that women don’t lie & that men aren’t falsely accused but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that women don’t feel comfortable speaking about these situations because this is a male dominated space and it’s on us to hold each other accountable and to create a safe space for EVERYBODY. The following is a message from Diana Bloom, an anonymous Iranian activist living in Germany who is being threatened with potentially extremely dangerous "exposure" by what appears to be a lunatic. I am passing this message on since Diana has deleted her account for her own protection and safety. To note, I don't think I should be involved with this crazy Evil Evi woman or her OSINT dramas whatsoever since she went bonkers the other day, but she is acting in defamatory ways and with malicious recklessness in a way that endanger an anonymous Iranian dissident I believe to be good, so I must pass this along. A MESSAGE FROM DIANA BLOOM This is a post in two parts. Part one is a brief summary of what has happened so far. Part two addresses the defamatory claims being made about me. PART 1 - [JL: Diana's explanation and responses] For everyone who doesn’t understand what led to this point, here’s the shortest summary possible: Evi [Kokalari] and I had been friendly in DMs since the end of June. She messaged me first. After [DataRepublican] published her piece on the State Department, I asked Evi not to go too hard against DR. Evi did anyway, and James Lindsay defended DR. I didn’t like the way Evi went after James, including citing Milo. So I unfollowed and removed Evi. She confronted me in DMs, and I explained why. Evi then made a post attacking James that started and ended with me and used my profile picture. I responded once, as politely as I could. Evi then repeatedly threatened to dox me, so I deactivated my account. Now, regarding the substance of the accusations she has made so far: 1. I am not a man. My name is not Derek. 2. I am Iranian. 3. I do know stuff about American politics because (and that is the boring truth) German television is really bad. So I’ve only watched English/American stuff for the past, I don’t know, 15 years, podcasts, late night shows, etc. I didn’t think about it, I just did. Little did I know that that would give me an understanding of the inner dynamics of what’s going on within the Republican Party that would tie back to the Iranian people’s cause in 2026. Believe me, I’m still baffled by it whenever I pause to think about it. But that’s the truth, and here we are. 4. I am not in the United States. I shared a blog, and the provider of that blog (a big, common one) is in the United States. My VPN location is sometimes in the United States. Not me. 5. I am not responsible for the content of people defending me. I have no control over it. It’s not my content, and I keep my distance whenever I see problematic stuff. Many accounts defended me, but going to look for one that has done/said problematic stuff to tie it back to me is not right or fair. I am not responsible. I have nothing to do with it. 6. I wanted to help DR because Evi was threatening to go after her hard, and I didn’t think DR deserved that. I meant no harm, I wanted to help. I made a mistake, and I regret it now, but my intention wasn’t bad at that moment in time. 7. Evi herself was the first to come into my DMs and tell me not to fight with an account named Stephanie. So I did Evi that favor. Meaning: Evi came into my DMs first and tried to calm down a public disagreement between me and someone else. When I did this in defense of DR, I did the same thing Evi had done before. I would never think to accuse Evi of restricting my right to free speech because of it. 8. Publishing private DMs from someone without their permission is wrong. It is something both Evi and Stephanie have now done. Both have shared private messages from me without my permission. 9. Part of Evi’s “sources” seem to be Azi Yazdi (granddaughter of Khomeini’s first foreign minister), Benji, and Nima Yamini, as well as his ghost accounts (I have blocked multiple of them by now). If you know any of them, you know this is insane. None of them are reliable. It’s like using Milo as a source against James Lindsay. This is not about truth but about a (malicious) takedown to silence me and get me out of the way. 10. Evi has threatened to dox me (there is no doubt) multiple times, and she keeps going after me. This puts my life and my family’s lives in Iran in real danger, but she doesn’t care. She keeps going, and I can’t stop her. She keeps putting out one lie after another, and it traps me in a forever loop of defending myself. If I don’t respond to more and more accusations from her against me, rest assured, my silence should never be taken as agreement with the lies she puts out there. Be sure there is always context, a counterargument, counterevidence, etc., that would show that none of what she shares is fair or true. But it’s a forever war that is meant to drain me. Here’s a story of how my Prayer retreat turned to an unplanned date 😂 One evening in April, back in School of Ministry, while Apostle Selman was teaching us, he made a digression and started telling us about his life’s journey, the days of his struggles and how God pulled him out of a life of hardship. It was a very very emotional class as He encouraged us to not give up on God in our season of waiting. Tears flowed freely that evening as we prayed. Particularly for me because I was without an accommodation of my own and a job at the time. I had questioned what God was doing with my life in this City and I needed answers really quick. After the class that night, I decided to spend the following day Retreating at Millennium Park. There I was going to ask God questions and hold Jesus by the hem of His garment, or so I thought. I got to the park at 10am that morning and found a proper spot to lay the mat I had rented. I laid there studying and meditating for about an hour and then began to mutter words in tongues. A little while later, this pretty young lady walked up to me and asked if she could borrow my tripod stand which I had propped beside my backpack. I asked her to take it as I continued praying under my breath. About 15 minutes later, she returned again to ask me to share my wifi hotspot as she wanted to get data. I was quite puzzled because it takes a certain kind of audacity to be that demanding. 😂 It was an admirable kind of audacity, though. I mean, I liked the free spirit she had and, honestly, coveted it. After about 30 minutes of struggling to concentrate on my prayers and process what had just happened, I decided to go meet her at her mat a few trees away, partly to collect my tripod stand and partly because I thought, “Let me get to know this girl too.” 😂 We introduced ourselves to each other, turned out I was speaking with a celebrity Podcaster, Author and Public Speaker… Mimi Okana has a penchant for intellectual conversations and little did I know what I was in for that day. We talked, took a really long walk, shared a wrap of ram suya, took a walk back still talking and talking and talking away the afternoon. I eventually moved my mat to hers and all that were around must have thought we came together or something. A family nearby who were celebrating their baby’s second birthday brought us fried rice and chicken, then coleslaw and later zobo, and later a handful of cake. I had so much to eat that day. So much that I had enough to take home as well. By the time Mimi and I stood up to leave that evening, all of the burdens I went to the park with had been lifted. I felt way better and at peace. Speaking with Mimi had made me feel a lot lighter. And there was a strange flush of joy in my heart. Then on my way home, The Holy Spirit said to me “I didn’t bring you here today to lament to me. I brought you to give you a pat on the back and to let you know I’m still with you in this.” And that hit me. Because sometimes, when we are waiting on God, we become so consumed with asking, “When will this end?” that we forget to notice that God is already walking with us through it. The job and accommodation eventually came exactly a week later. But Sometimes the miracle is not that God immediately changes your situation. Sometimes the miracle is that He gives you enough joy, strength and assurance to keep walking until the situation changes. Will you look beyond the pain today and pay attention to the little things? The little moments of joy. The unexpected conversations. The laughter you didn’t plan for. The provision you almost overlooked. The strength to get through another day. The peace that doesn’t quite make sense. God is reminding you, even in the middle of your waiting, that He is still with you.

I was at a Church in Anthony village about three years ago to minister, and I met this young man who was schooled at a very prestigious university in the USA. He was the in-house IT consultant of the church, and the pastor placed him on a monthly stipend while he was working for God. It was the Pastor who introduced the young man to me while boasting that God had given him the most capable hands to help him in ministry. I asked him if he had any Python, Java, cloud engineering, data management, digital marketing, coding, or similar tasks available for the young man in the church. He said no. I said, "You are giving this young man the job that any young school leaver who is proficient in computer appreciation can do, and you don't see it as limiting his capabilities and rendering his skills obsolete?" You would rather boast that you are ruining a destiny to build up your own profile rather than set this young man on the path of excellence? Did God call him into ministry as a preacher? Is he understudying you in preparation for his own ministry? The pastor said, "No, I plan that as the church expands, he will head our digital infrastructure and position us for the future." I said, "He can do that as a consultant or even as a member, he shouldn't be doing that while you are paying him 100,000 Naira a month. He should be out there, flying with his peers and earning in dollars! The only exception is if the Lord has called him to be a preacher and he is understudying you as your personal assistant, as led by the Lord as part of his season of preparation. Anything other than that is injurious to his destiny!" The pastor had never seen it that way When I was done ministering in the church, the young man hugged me and thanked me profusely. He said his mother sent him to the pastor when he returned from the USA and the pastor immediately told him that God had need of him in the ministry or he would die without fulfilling his purpose. Why do pastors do this? I have another case from the Northern part of Nigeria. A young lady reached out to me seeking clarity regarding her future She said her Apostle told her she has been raised by God to sing in his church choir, but she is a medical doctor by training and desires to further her studies abroad Every time she raised the issue with the Apostle, he shut her down and told her she was struggling with the will of God "Why can't you just submit to God and serve in the choir and watch as God will take your voice all over the world as this ministry grows?" The young lady said she knows she has a good voice and sings very well as one who is full of the Holy Spirit, but she does not want to be "Sinach", she wants to fulfil her dream of practising as a Pediatrician. She was wary of incurring the wrath and curse of the Apostle, however, and did not know how to extricate herself from the situation. The apostle did not see anything wrong with his actions because he was a user of people who believed that in order to fulfill his own desire to become a big ministry, others could not thrive and grow in their visions and ministries as ordained by God. This is witchcraft. It is not of God. Jesus didn't lead his disciples this way. Insecurity is the undoing of many African so-called Pastors and Spiritual leaders, and they hide behind the illusion of divinity to put others in bondage. I experienced this firsthand as a young graduate, so I understand how a pastor trying to build his ministry could see the potential in a young man or woman and try very hard to turn such a person into servants and house helps in the name of discipling them or training them for kingdom relevance You graduate from the University and join the labour force, you apply for many jobs, and at a point, you tell yourself it is important to seek supernatural guidance in your quest to fulfil destiny Somebody somewhere tells you about a church or a ministry, you join, and you are convinced the church is good. You also tell your friends, and they join. But you are all fresh graduates who are heading into the future one way or the other, but this pastor wants you to be his flock. To him, his church of ten members had suddenly become a church of 30 members because of you guys, and he wants to keep the numbers growing, so he begins to give you prophesies that were not of God but with the aim of keeping you in the fold for as long as possible. He told young graduates who ought to go for NYSC that God is telling him they should give it up for service to God in the vineyard. The mother of two of the ladies in the fellowship, whose daughters told that the pastor told them not to go for NYSC, quickly removed them from the fellowship before the seed of corruption being planted by this pastor would bear fruit The others also left as soon as they could gather their wit People who you ought to guide on their path in sincerity ran as far as they could from you based on how you chose to manipulate rather than nurture them. A married woman whose husband worked abroad was a trained secretary, and while her husband was abroad, catering to the needs of the family, he begged her to stop working so that she could focus on raising the children. She was raising five children all by herself, and combining this with a job seemed a bit too much at the time. One of the vital institutions for raising godly children was the church This woman attended church regularly with her children and even volunteered to spend any free time she had typing the pastor's sermons, Sunday School pamphlets, handouts, books, journals, and other church reports and documents She was not officially employed to do the work; she just saw that she could take some of the secretarial duties on during her downtime, and she did so with all sincerity. The church enjoyed her free services for five years until the pastor forgot completely that she was doing the church a favour One day, the woman came to church to tell the pastor that her husband would be returning home to visit the family, and she would not be available for a few days because she had to pick her husband up from the airport and ensure that he settled in properly. Unfortunately, that weekend was the weekend of the church's anniversary, and the pastor had a lot of secretarial work to do. He told the woman God said she should pick one. Heaven or marriage. He said if she goes to pick her husband from the airport, she has chosen the world and forsaken the Lord. The woman wept all the way home, It was not the thank you, thou faithful servant report she had worked day and night for many years to get that she received. She went to pick her husband from the airport and distanced herself from any church founded by any individual after that experience. She said the ambition of church founders requires that they use people to build, even though they lacked the resources to pay or compensate such people, so they resort to blackmail, coercion, lies, fake prophesies, promises, and manipulations to get things done while keeping their followers on a leash. Followers are also enablers as they refuse to read the Bible for themselves and walk in the light of the word of God. No one should be able to take you captive in the name of God, Jesus, all the angels, or any form of miracle if you know the word of God. The word of God is profitable to make one wise, and therefore, anyone who knows the word of God cannot fall victim to any false doctrine, teaching, spiritual manipulations, or lies. All the false teachings of someone being a covering for someone else came from these manipulative narratives, and believers should be wise to them. I have seen a pastor declare that his church is the only church in Africa that is licensed by God to take people to heaven, and some members believed him. The day he said that, all his members ought to laugh, pick up their Bibles, and leave without looking back. Self-aggrandisement has become the order of the day in some churches, the pastor sells himself as the be-all and end-all of the member's spiritual enlightenment, and the members sheepishly surrender their eyes of their understanding to him or her. He or she must determine where they work, whom they marry, who they associate with, whose music they must listen to, and whose sermons they must hear. If they want to travel, he must see if the road is clear on their behalf, if they want to build a house, he must approve, if he does not dedicate their baby, the baby is illegitimate. This is not the faith Christ or the Apostles died for. Jesus died that you might be free of religion. Christianity is not a religion, it is the opposite. It is individualistic and determined by the faith and belief system of the one rather than the many. Salvation, therefore, is a personal affair, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is also a personal affair Religion is the opium of the masses, and Christianity is the salvation of the individual and his or her walk with God. When we fellowship together, we do so not so we can get brainwashed by one "super Christian" but so that we can minister to the Lord and minister to one another in the presence of God. Every believer must hold this truth to be self-evident. Body-camera footage shows Morris wearing a fake police badge that he purchased online. Since nobody formally ran for the board to represent District 3, Morris ran as a write-in candidate. He garnered 518 votes. A total landslide. Morris never told anyone about his criminal history. And again, nobody asked. Morris’s rap sheet doesn’t end there. He did time in 2009 after pleading guilty to forgery and impersonating a notary public. In November 2021, Morris was caught playing dress-up again.
