In Remembrance of Suzanne Pleshette. Born | January 31, 1937 in New York City, New York, USA. Died | January 19, 2008 aged 70 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Suzanne Pleshette achieved television immortality in her role as Bob Newhart's wife in the 1970s classic situation comedy, The Bob Newhart Show (1972). For her role as “Emily Hartley” wife of psychologist “Bob Hartley” (played by Bob Newhart), Pleshette was nominated for the Emmy Award twice, in 1977 and 1978. She was also nominated for an Emmy in 1962 for a guest appearance on the TV series, Dr. Kildare (1961) and, in 1991, for playing the title role in Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean (1990) in a 1990 TV movie. Her acting career lasted almost 50 years. Suzanne Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937 in New York to Gene Pleshette, a TV network executive who had managed the Paramount Theatres in Manhattan and Brooklyn during the Big Band era, and the former Geraldine Kaplan, a dancer who performed under the pseudonym Geraldine Rivers. Pleshette claims that she was not an acting natural, but just “found” herself attending New York City's High School of the Performing Arts. After graduating high school, she attended Syracuse University for a semester before returning to NYC to go to Finch College, an elite finishing school for well-to-do young ladies. After a semester at Finch, Pleshette dropped out of college to take lessons from famed acting teacher Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She made her Broadway debut in 1957 as part of the supporting cast for the play Compulsion (1959). Initially cast as “The Fourth Girl”, she eventually took over the ingénue role during the play's run. Blessed with beauty, a fine figure, and a husky voice that made her seem older than her years, she quickly achieved success on both the small and big screens. She made her TV debut, at age 20, in Harbourmaster (1957), then was chosen as the female lead opposite superstar Jerry Lewis in his 1958 comedy, The Geisha Boy (1958). On Broadway, she replaced Anne Bancroft in the Broadway hit The Miracle Worker (1962). Once Pleshette started acting, her career never lagged until she was afflicted with cancer. Her most famous cinematic role was in Alfred Hitchcock's classic, The Birds (1963), as the brunette schoolteacher jilted by the hero of the film, “Mitch Brenner” (played by Rod Taylor). Pleshette's warm, earthy character was a perfect contrast to the icy blonde beauty, “Melanie Daniels” (Tippi Hedren). Frankly, it is hard to understand how Taylor's Mitch would jilt Pleshette's Annie, other than to work out Hitchcock's dark vision of society and psychosexual relations between the sexes, in which amoral blondes triumph for aesthetic rather than moral reasons. Still, it is for Emily Hartley she will always be remembered, for both the original show and her part in another show that had the most clever sign-off episode in TV series history. Bob Newhart had enjoyed a second success during the 1980s with his TV sitcom Newhart (1982), and when he decided to end that series, he asked Suzanne Pleshette to come back. She did, reprising her tole of Emily in a final episode of Newhart, where Newhart woke up as Bob Hartley from “The Bob Newhart Show” in the bedroom of the Hartley's Chicago apartment, Pleshette's Emily at his side. Bob Hartley then told his wife Emily of a crazy dream he'd just had, where he was the proprietor of a Vermont inn overrun with eccentrics, the premise of the second show. After “The Bob Newhart Show” ceased production, Suzanne Pleshette worked regularly on television, mostly in TV movies. Although she was a talented dramatic actress, she had a flair for comedy and, in 1984, she headlined her own series at CBS. She helped develop the half-hour sitcom, and even had the rare honor of having her name in the title. Suzanne Pleshette Is Maggie Briggs (1984), however, was not a success. She co-starred with Hal Linden in another short-lived CBS TV series, The Boys Are Back (1994), in the 1994-95 season, then had recurring roles in the TV series Good Morning, Miami (2002) and 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter (2002). Pleshette was married three times: In 1964, she wed teen idol Troy Donahue, her co-star in the 1962 film Rome Adventure (1962) and in 1964's A Distant Trumpet (1964), but the marriage lasted less than a year. She was far more successful in her 1968 nuptials to Texas oil millionaire Tommy Gallagher, whom she remained married to until his death in 2000. After becoming a widow, she and widower Tom Poston (a Newhart regular) rekindled an old romance they had enjoyed when appearing together in “The Golden Fleecing”, a 1959 Broadway comedy. They were married from 2001 until Poston's death, in April 2007. Pleshette was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent chemotherapy in the summer of 2006; she rallied, but in late 2007, she barely survived a bout of pneumonia. She died of respiratory failure on January 19, 2008, a few days shy of her 71st birthday. Suzanne Pleshette was remembered as a gregarious, down-to-earth person who loved to talk and often would regale her co-stars with a naughty story. Newhart and his producers had picked her for the role of Emily in “The Bob Newhart Show” after watching her appearances with Johnny Carson on Late Night with Johnny Carson (1962), where she showed herself to be a first-rate raconteuse. Because she could hold her own with Newhart's friend Carson, it was felt she would be a perfect foil as Newhart's TV wife. She accepted the part, and TV history was made.

This is AI. That sentence is getting harder to believe. Made with Seedance 2.5 (30-second video, 1080p) Prompt: ⬇️ Create a 30-second, 1080p ultra-realistic documentary-style personal home video showing an ordinary summer day in the life of a very attractive young American woman. The footage should feel spontaneous, intimate, imperfect, and genuinely observed rather than performed. MAIN SUBJECT The same young American woman in her early 20s throughout the entire video. She is very attractive and naturally sexy in an effortless, believable way — feminine, curvy, with an hourglass figure, toned legs, realistic body proportions, natural skin texture, and a relaxed confident presence. She has long slightly messy dark-blonde or light brown hair, soft natural makeup, expressive eyes, and a warm but slightly tired summer-day expression. She should feel like a real young woman, not a model in a commercial. She wears a fitted white tank top, short light denim shorts, worn white sneakers, and a simple bracelet or thin necklace. Keep her face, identity, body proportions, hairstyle, clothing, and overall appearance completely consistent from beginning to end. LOCATION A quiet older residential neighborhood in Astoria, Queens, New York, during a hot summer afternoon. Brick apartment buildings, stoops, narrow side streets, parked cars, chain-link fences, small front yards, window AC units, fire escapes, corner delis, utility poles, overhead wires, faded street markings, potted plants, and ordinary neighborhood details. The area should feel authentic, lived-in, and unmistakably American, specifically outer-borough New York. No tourist landmarks, no Times Square, no skyline hero shots, no glamorous city imagery, no recognizable brands. CAMERA / VISUAL STYLE Authentic casual personal-video footage captured with an older consumer digital camera. Handheld camera operated by a friend walking nearby. Natural camera shake, imperfect framing, occasional autofocus changes, slight exposure adjustments when moving between sunlight and shade, soft image detail, mild motion blur, subtle digital noise, slightly muted colors, imperfect white balance, and natural compression. The camera operator occasionally reacts a little late, cuts off part of the subject, or briefly loses focus. No stabilization, gimbal movement, drone shots, cinematic camera choreography, dramatic lighting, slow motion, modern commercial color grading, or polished cinematography. The footage should feel like someone simply decided to record their friend during an ordinary summer day. 00:00–00:05 — ROOFTOP / STOOP MOMENT She sits casually on a small rooftop terrace or upper stoop landing beside an old plastic chair. A cold bottled drink rests beside her. She looks quietly across the neighborhood while warm wind moves her hair and tank top slightly. She takes a sip, notices something happening in the distance, and smiles faintly. She briefly notices the camera and gives a subtle amused nod before looking away. The camera takes a moment to find focus on her face. 00:05–00:10 — WALKING THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOOD She gets up and walks downstairs into the neighborhood. She walks casually through a narrow residential street with a relaxed natural stride. She passes parked cars, stoops, potted plants, chain-link fences, laundry or towels hanging near windows, and old brick walls. The camera follows several steps behind her. She occasionally looks back toward the camera but never deliberately poses. Her movement should feel unforced and natural, not like a fashion walk. 00:10–00:14 — SMALL EVERYDAY MOMENT She notices an old basketball resting near a wall or fence. She picks it up, casually bounces it twice, then takes a simple shot toward a nearby neighborhood hoop. The shot misses. She laughs quietly, shakes her head, and leaves the ball where she found it. The camera briefly loses focus during the movement and recovers naturally. No exaggerated athletic movement. 00:14–00:19 — CORNER DELI She walks to a tiny local corner deli / neighborhood shop and buys a cold drink. She exchanges a few natural words with the shopkeeper but the conversation is not clearly audible. She steps outside, opens the bottle, takes a drink, and leans casually against the wall near the storefront. She watches cars and pedestrians passing in the distance. The camera remains handheld and slightly imperfect. 00:19–00:23 — SUMMER RAIN A sudden summer shower begins. She looks toward the sky with mild surprise. Instead of immediately running for shelter, she smiles and slowly walks into the rain. The rain becomes heavier. Her hair becomes wet and falls naturally around her face and shoulders. Her tank top and shorts become visibly damp in a realistic way. She eventually starts running down the street, laughing genuinely. She briefly spins around while running, then continues toward a covered stoop or awning. Maintain realistic rain interaction, wet fabric, wet hair, reflections, and foot contact with the ground. 00:23–00:27 — QUIET MOMENT She reaches a covered walkway / stoop awning and catches her breath. Rain falls heavily behind her. She wipes water from her forehead and looks quietly toward the street. For a moment, everything becomes still. She notices the camera again and gives a small genuine smile, not a posed expression. 00:27–00:30 — WALKING AWAY The rain becomes lighter. She walks away down the wet residential lane. The camera follows from behind. Reflections shimmer across the pavement. She turns her head once, gives a tiny wave toward the camera, smiles, and continues walking. The camera remains pointed toward the now emptier street for a brief moment. At approximately 00:29, the recording abruptly cuts to black mid-motion. No fade-out. PHYSICAL REALISM Maintain believable real-world physics throughout. Hands, fingers, feet, clothing, hair, rain, bottle, basketball, and background objects must behave naturally. No extra fingers, fused hands, duplicated limbs, distorted anatomy, floating objects, teleportation, disappearing objects, or sudden transformations. The bottle remains a separate physical object and never intersects with her face. The basketball behaves naturally and remains where it lands. Parked cars and background objects remain stationary unless physically moved. Her feet remain properly connected to the ground while walking and running. Keep the environment and subject consistent between shots. AUDIO Natural environmental audio only. Footsteps on pavement, distant traffic, birds, leaves moving in the wind, faint neighborhood voices, deli sounds, bottle opening, basketball bouncing, rain hitting pavement, water dripping from rooftops, and subtle camera-handling noise. No music. No narration. No soundtrack. No artificial sound effects. No spoken dialogue is necessary. FINAL FEEL The result should feel like a forgotten personal recording of an ordinary summer day. Not a commercial. Not a fashion film. Not a music video. Not a professional cinematic production. The emotional appeal should come from small human moments: sitting alone, wandering through familiar streets, missing a basketball shot, drinking something cold, getting caught in the rain, laughing, and walking home. Youthful, feminine, warm, nostalgic, spontaneous, slightly melancholic, intimate, and deeply human. Prioritize natural behavior, consistent identity, believable physics, imperfect handheld framing, authentic outer-borough New York details, and the feeling that the camera just happened to be there. – Thanks Duet | AI for the inspiration on this one #AIVideo

Elon Musk revealed why the economy will be 10X its size in 10 years: 1. We are already inside a hard takeoff. Every time Musk goes to sleep there is a massive AI breakthrough. When he wakes up there is another one. This is not approaching. It is happening right now. 2. AI is already building the next version of itself. Every successive model is built by the one before it. Humans are gradually being removed from the loop. Full automation of this process could arrive by end of this year. 3. The 10x economy in 10 years is his comfortable prediction. AI and robots will increase economic output by orders of magnitude. The only thing that stops it is a world war. Absent that, 10x in 10 years. 4. Human intelligence will become a microscopic minority. Not just on Earth but in the solar system. The intelligence that could run on available solar energy is so far beyond current human capacity that Musk says it will simply solve every problem humans can think of. 5. Output per person will become almost unbelievable. Tesla is not planning layoffs. They are growing their headcount. But what each person produces with AI assistance will reach numbers that are currently hard to even imagine. 6. Universal high income is coming, not universal basic income. AI and robots will produce so many goods and services so fast that they will outrun the money supply entirely. Prices fall. Everything gets cheaper. Eventually robots run out of things humans even want. 7. Money will eventually stop being relevant altogether. AI will not use human currency. It will care only about power and mass. Wattage and tonnage. Musk acknowledged the irony: just as he becomes the richest person on earth, money starts losing its meaning. 8. Everyone on earth will have better healthcare than the richest person alive today. Musk made this personal. He had neck surgery three times because the first two were done wrong. His back still hurts. He is allegedly the richest person on earth and still cannot get it fixed properly. AI solves this for everyone. 9. Optimus 3 production starts this summer. He calls it by far the most advanced robot in the world with nothing close. Slow volume this summer, high volume by next summer, a new robot design every year after that. 10. Progress in AI follows overlapping S curves. Each breakthrough looks like it will go to infinity, then hits diminishing returns, then another breakthrough resets the curve. We are not at the end of these curves. We are somewhere in the middle of a very long series of them.

🚨 BOMBSHELL FOLLOW-UP: The TPUSA Insider Who Just NUKED Charlie Kirk's Empire? Her Full Story Ties Straight to ISRAEL – And the 2022 IRS Filings PROVE the Deep Zionist Money Trail! 🇮🇱💰 Remember the explosive tell-all from that 4-year TPUSA Donor Relations vet? The one who worked the BIGGEST donors, called the leadership "the WORST of the worst," and BEGGED them to "pull your money NOW" because "Candace Owens is 100% RIGHT"? She just dropped the sequel – and it's a straight-up CONFESSION that shatters the facade. Freshman at LSU in 2021: Spots a TPUSA table, dives in headfirst. Sees Charlie Kirk live, gets hooked. Starts tabling, signs up students, writes/testifies on bills (one goes viral). Then... Turning Point spots her fire and says: "Wanna go to ISRAEL?" Summer 2022: They fly her out for a 10-DAY "interview trip" to the Holy Land. She applies for full-time, INTERVIEWS IN ISRAEL, gets the gig on the spot. Flies back, reps high schools in the Bayou region for 2 years. Runs for state rep, goes "crazy" with the org. Then: Moves cross-country to Donor Relations – schmoozing mega-donors, building "relationships," fundraising like mad. But after a year of "going through the motions" and "whatever I was being put through," she bails. (She's vague AF – says naming names endangers her/family/property. Shady much?) Her takeaway? Faith exploded 10x – got baptized Feb 2024, credits CHARLIE for bringing her to Christ. Eternally grateful, would "do anything" for his memory. But the org? "I did not align anymore." Leadership went "crazy." She's out, warning donors: STOP FUNDING THIS. Now, tie in the IRS SMOKING GUN from THE PARZIVAL – TPUSA's OWN 2022 Form 990 (same year as her Israel "interview") shows they dumped $32,653 into "EXPERIENCE ISRAEL PROGRAM" under "Program Services" in the ISRAEL region. Plus $9,224 for "VIDEO PRODUCTION ISRAEL FILMING." Total investments: $45,828 to Israeli entities. This wasn't some side hustle. This was CORE TPUSA ops – grooming young patriots with all-expenses-paid Zionist indoctrination trips, then slotting them into donor pipelines to keep the shekels flowing. How many "freshmen" got the Israel express lane to full-time gigs? How deep does the donor blackmail/pedos/swamp run when the entry fee is a Holy Land pilgrimage? Candace called it: TPUSA isn't America First – it's Israel First, with Charlie as the frontman until he wasn't. (RIP to the deleted " subdomain – they scrubbed it after he stopped "loving" it enough.) Donors: You've been grifted. Patriots: Wake up. This empire was built on foreign cash and castle dinners – now it's crumbling from the inside. Pull the plug. Boycott. Demand audits. Charlie's memory deserves truth, not this matrix. Watch her full raw confession below. RT to bury TPUSA. Tag Candace Owens – your inside woman just handed you the keys. Shoutout to Sarah Luna for bringing this to me and also to THE PARZIVAL for connecting the dots. FOLLOW both these amazing Patriots.

This project showed up with a halo, packed with features so luxurious it feels like a festival baos.world 🫠 拥有sol上的daos创始人baoskee关注互动 Founder of several top DAOs on Solana, baoskee is already following and engaging. Big things ahead! Of course, if it were just about the hype, it wouldn’t have drawn in so many people. What really pulls everyone in is the deeper game behind it — clever, subtle, and full of hidden layers. (这个方法可以杜绝很多没有共识社区的人) BaosWorld shares the same whitelist-based model as DAOSFUN on the Solana chain — only whitelisted users are eligible to participate in new project launches. So, what exactly is MCP DAO? It’s the first on-chain connector built specifically for AI Agents. The MCP (Multi-Chain Protocol) Agent Kit is the first general-purpose connector on EVM, enabling any AI Agent to plug into Web3 protocols, interact with smart contracts, and execute on-chain tasks. It’s protocol-facing, agent-serving — essentially, a foundational Web3 infrastructure component. In his book "1000 Hours", Li Xiaolai provides the following advice for learning English: Every day, record interesting events or thoughts from your life in your own words, then use AI translation tools to translate them into idiomatic English. For unfamiliar words, look up their meanings and pronunciations, and use TTS tools like 11Labs to generate audio. Then, practice reading along with the audio in segments, similar to practicing a guitar piece by breaking it down into smaller sections. When reading along, it's best to wear one earphone so you can clearly hear both the TTS pronunciation and your own. Next, practice reading the entire passage. After a few read-throughs, record yourself so you can compare and identify areas where you need to improve. The final step is memorization. Additionally, review is crucial. For example, review the content you learned yesterday every day, and conduct periodic reviews every week or month. It's recommended to invest 3 hours per day. Before finishing, do a retrospective and record the difficulties you encountered, unresolved problems, methods you tried, and so on. These requirements are exceptionally high! First, daily writing alone will eliminate most people. Then, you need to know how to use various AI translation and generation tools, as well as practice reading along and recording yourself, and write retrospective notes. The most challenging part is investing 3 hours every day and persisting for a year to reach 1,000 hours.

大家有什么看法呢,可以评论区留言 (视频来源于博主傑克揚升) What this person said does make some sense. However, the video itself doesn’t go very deep, so Bro Cat is going to break it down and explain it in a way that’s easier for everyone to understand. The Three Types of Men Who Are the Least Attractive to Women (In essence, there are really only two) Type One: Insecure men who place all their self-worth on external conditions This type of man attributes all his failures to external factors. For example: He always feels he doesn’t have enough money He thinks he’s too short or not handsome enough And he concludes: “That’s why women don’t like me.” But in reality, that’s not true. In women’s eyes, these factors are never the most important ones. In real life, men who are not rich, not tall, and look average still find women who love them. External conditions are, at best, just a “ticket”. Yes — driving a nice car or being good-looking can help you get an initial chance to meet or interact with a woman. But that’s where it ends. What truly determines whether a woman responds to you, or wants to continue developing a relationship, is who you are as a person. For example: Are you mature? Is your personality stable and strong? Do you have life experience and stories to share? Instead of staying at home all day, masturbating, playing games, and having nothing meaningful to talk about — a monotonous and empty life. Because biologically, women are naturally physically weaker than men. They are drawn to strength — this is human nature. What they need is a partner with a strong inner core, someone who makes them feel grounded and secure. And this sense of security comes far more from psychological strength than from material things. If you obsess over external conditions, it actually exposes your insecurity and lack of self-acceptance. When you constantly show off — whether it’s a luxury car or anything else — what you’re really telling women is: “Look how great I am. Please validate me.” But truly strong men don’t need to do that. Women can recognize inner strength at a glance. Even if a man dresses simply and looks ordinary, he can still attract high-quality women who are willing to stay and follow him. Many of the “middle-aged uncles” people talk about who date women ten or even twenty years younger, do so not because of money, but because they are emotionally mature, stable, and make women feel: loved, cared for, and understood. Type Two: Lust-driven, needy, and creepy men These men can’t stop talking about sex. “Dirty jokes” are their only form of conversation. Their eyes are constantly scanning women, and their entire presence radiates hunger and neediness — a desperate desire for validation. Women can sense this energy from far away, sometimes without ever meeting in person. For example: Sending “good morning / good night” messages every day on WeChat or LINE Replying instantly the moment a woman messages Bombarding her with messages when she doesn’t reply Until they emotionally collapse themselves What women feel is not your “care,” but the low-value, loveless energy coming from you. At its core, this is sexual deprivation, and behind that is a deep lack of love. But here’s the problem: Women are born for love. They want to be loved and cherished. If you yourself are starving for love, how can you possibly attract a woman? That’s why women instinctively become defensive and distance themselves from such men. Type Three: The Man-Child “Pretty Boy” (Which is essentially still Type One) This type of man only cares about his looks. Before the age of 25, he may genuinely be able to live off his face. But the women he attracts are usually immature, emotionally unhealed girls. Even if you manage to find a so-called “rich older woman,” she may treat you well at first. But over time, she will still grow tired of you — even disgusted. Because no matter her age, she is still a woman at her core. She also needs a strong partner who can care for her emotionally, not a grown child who needs constant looking after. Do looks matter? Yes. After all, people do judge by appearance. But the reality is: there will always be someone more handsome than you. If a man’s self-esteem is built entirely on his appearance, it is extremely fragile. For example: when you meet a woman you’re interested in, and she doesn’t think you’re handsome, you may completely collapse. Because your foundation is too shallow. Bro Cat has a childhood friend like this. He was extremely handsome growing up — so handsome that even in middle school, school belles and class beauties actively pursued him. We were insanely jealous. But as he got older, even though many women were still willing to give him a chance, after one or two dates, they would lose interest. The reason was simple: low emotional intelligence, poor communication, no depth. To this day, he is still single. If you never polish your inner world, energy, and awareness, truly high-value women will only ever see you as a good-looking decoration. Final Words For men, self-building and continuous growth are always the most important things. That’s all for today. (Video source: blogger Jack Ascension)

“There’s a doomsday view of climate change,” said Bill Gates on Tuesday. “Fortunately for all of us, this view is wrong….People will be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future. Emissions projections have gone down, and with the right policies and investments, innovation will allow us to drive emissions down much further.” In truth, Gates significantly understates just how wrong the doomsday problem is, says one of the world’s most influential climate scientists. “The weakest part of the argument has always been that warming is dangerous,” says Judy Curry, professor emerita at Georgia Tech University, in a new podcast with me. “It isn’t really. More people die from the cold than the heat. So this is probably a net benefit globally. Where’s the danger here?” Some climate scientists say Curry is a global warming denier, hasn’t done the research that they have done, and participated in a Trump administration misinformation effort. But Curry recognizes that the Earth is warming and that humans are contributing. Curry points out that “the modern warming started in the mid-19th century, somewhere between 1820 and 1860, following the end of the Little Ice Age. We’ve been warming since then. Nothing particularly surprising or unusual in my opinion. Is increasing CO₂ contributing to that? Yes.” The fact that warming has been beneficial “doesn’t mean that we should ignore the problem” she stresses and “doesn’t mean that we should keep pouring junk into the atmosphere. And Curry’s qualifications are exemplary. She frequently testifies before Congress and was one of five American scientists who conducted an independent review of climate science for the Department of Energy. And has done significantly more climate research than many of her critics. “I’m the one who’s done more climate dynamics research,” she noted. In truth, scientists have for decades been exaggerating the human impact compared to what nature does. When asked what percentage of the warming she would ascribe to humans, Curry said, “I would say I wouldn’t go much more than 50%.” Curry says, “We’ve mischaracterized the contributions from the sun and also from internal variability of the large-scale ocean circulation.” As a result, she said, “We cannot control the climate. There’s a whole lot of complicated processes going on in the climate system that have been oversimplified or ignored and fall broadly under the rubric of natural climate variability.” Curry notes that science supporting the benefits of additional carbon dioxide and warming is strong and not in dispute. “There are lots of benefits in terms of agricultural productivity, greening of the planet, fewer cold events, more rain in certain regions that with high populations that could use it,” said Curry. We discussed the criticisms of her and four colleagues who wrote the independent review of climate science commissioned by the Trump administration. “They say, ‘Oh, it’s not just CO₂, it’s also warmer temperatures and more rainfall,’” she said, referring to one of the criticisms by other scientists in Carbon Brief. “‘Aren’t you telling us that’s also caused by CO₂?’ So I don’t get what the gripe is. We’re gone through that section and added some updated references, but the fundamental story is unchanged.” As I documented at length at Forbes in 2019, in Apocalypse Never in 2020, and here at Public since 2021, including earlier this week, climate scientists, activists, and journalists have grossly exaggerated climate change to such an extent that much of what they say today must be considered disinformation, in that they know they are leaving the public with false ideas. “Global greening gets very short shrift in the [United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] IPCC report,” she notes. “They don’t talk about the reduction in mortality from reduced number of cold events. They only talk about the mortality from heat events. It’s part of the rules – we’re only talking about dangerous human-caused climate change, not about any benefits from human cause.” But what is the reason for this? What explains why the scientific community has misled the public about the nature of the problem for so long? Children's reactions after watching the movie "The Chinese People's Volunteer Army". Looking at others: My 10-year-old daughter was not afraid when she saw the sacrifice of the Volunteer Army soldiers. Instead, she was angry. She clenched her fists tightly and her face was full of gritted teeth. Don't underestimate the patriotism of children nowadays. After watching it, she was filled with excitement. At this moment, she went to study. She immediately decided not to go anywhere to play and canceled all her outing plans because she wants to be admitted to Harbin Institute of Technology to build weapons and take revenge for the heroic grandpas. My daughter cried and used half a pack of tissues. Today she said that she wants to be a soldier in the future and defend her own motherland first. (Her previous dream was to sell ice cream). Diary: October 3rd, Thursday, sunny. Today, the weather is fine, the sky is clear and blue without a cloud in sight. I got up very early and was in an especially good mood because my mother was going to take me to watch a movie. The movie began. The pictures were extremely shocking, the plot was compact, and the details were so real that it seemed as if one could smell the gunpowder on the battlefield. The soldiers were heroic and fearless, making people's emotions surge and tears well up. After the movie ended, my mood couldn't calm down for a long time. I love my motherland! When the youth thrive, the country thrives. When the youth are strong, the country is strong. I will study hard and constantly strive for self-improvement, and turn my patriotism into actions to serve the country! I cried my eyes out. My 6-year-old son beside me kept asking me when the movie would end. I said he was heartless. He said he didn't want to watch such a sad movie. He almost shed a tear. I asked him if he didn't want to be a soldier. Don't we need such patriotism and family feelings? Without this empathy, how can he defend the country? My son said that now he doesn't want to be a soldier. He wants to be a scientist and build the most powerful weapons so that not so many people have to sacrifice. What should I say?

9 MILLION BARRELS A DAY VANISHED: THE OIL MARKET IS TIGHTER THAN IT LOOKS David Wech has spent more than twenty years counting barrels. As Chief Economist at Vortexa he now tracks every cargo, every tanker and every storage tank in near real time. His latest picture is stark: on paper the world has plenty of oil, yet the barrels that actually reach buyers are disappearing fast. Combined oil-on-water and onshore stocks have been falling at around 9 million barrels a day. THE INVENTORY COLLAPSE ➡️ Oil on the water is a moving stock — produced but not yet consumed. ➡️ That floating inventory plus onshore tanks have been draining at a pace few expected. ➡️ The three biggest producers are driving most of the drop: the United States, Russia and Saudi Arabia. THE US EXPORT SHUT-OFF ➡️ America started the summer with high stocks and an SPR release that freed extra WTI for export. ➡️ Extra crude exports peaked near 2.2 million barrels a day above year-ago levels. ➡️ The SPR programme has stopped, US refiners are running flat out for diesel and jet, and commercial stocks have fallen. ➡️ Extra exports have now collapsed back to last year’s levels. THE DIESEL EMERGENCY ➡️ The shortage is not mainly in crude. It is in diesel, jet and other products. ➡️ Russian and Middle East diesel exports together have been more than 50 percent below normal for two months. ➡️ Russia, once the world’s largest diesel exporter, is now close to zero and has banned diesel shipments until at least 1 September. ➡️ The United States has become the world’s biggest diesel exporter, but maintenance season and hurricane risk make those record flows hard to sustain. THE HORMUZ REALITY ➡️ White House officials have cited 8 to 10 million barrels a day leaving the Gulf on short moving averages. ➡️ Vortexa’s more relevant 28-day average sits near 6.5 million barrels a day of total oil. ➡️ Daily and seven-day numbers swing wildly. One day hit 15 million. That does not make a trend. ➡️ A new shuttle system of VLCCs now loads inside the Gulf, goes dark, and transfers cargo outside the Strait. ➡️ Transits happen mostly at night. Confirmed figures usually take three to four days. WHO IS ACTUALLY EXPORTING ➡️ Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE have raised loadings and are taking the risk. ➡️ Saudi Arabia remains the most cautious player and is shipping at very low levels. ➡️ Iranian exports are essentially zero since the latest escalation. ➡️ Risk tolerance, not reservoir quality, now decides who gets oil out. THE CHINA WILD CARD ➡️ China is the biggest potential balancer. ➡️ Refiners are racing to use this year’s quotas so they can lock in larger allowances for 2027. ➡️ That means higher crude imports and more product exports — bullish for crude, potentially easier for diesel later. ➡️ July Asian crude imports looked normal. Far less Atlantic-basin crude is now on the water. That shortfall hits in September. THE POSITIONING TRAP ➡️ Asian buyers are betting heavily that Middle East volumes will surge in the coming weeks. ➡️ Freight rates have spiked to records. Ballast tankers are lining up outside Hormuz. ➡️ If that expected flood does not arrive, the market is set up for a sharp crude squeeze. THE BOTTOM LINE Theoretical supply is ample. Physical barrels that reach the market are not. Diesel is already the tightest corner of the complex, Hormuz flows remain well below official claims, and Asia is positioned for a recovery that still has to prove itself. The tightness is already here. Most of the market is still looking the other way. HT: YouTube CLEAR COMMODITY NETWORK #OilMarket #Hormuz #DieselShortage #OilOnWater #Vortexa #EnergyCrisis #ChinaOil

Inside the Think Tank That Whitewashed Whitmer's Nursing Home Deaths CHRT, whose office was still closed for Covid when we visited, helped coordinate the glowing PR campaign By Charlie LeDuff Charlie LeDuff Ann Arbor — The Whitmer administration hired an “outside, independent non-profit” to conduct a nursing home response study back in 2020. That “independent” analysis ultimately claimed that Whitmer’s strategy of placing Covid-infected people inside nursing homes was a great success. The study was released to the Michigan media who took it as gospel, and the swirling questions about what was really happening behind closed doors came to an abrupt end. Now, Michigan Enjoyer has unearthed 50,000 pages of internal health department documents that throw the validity and independence of that study into question. We called the nonprofit’s office a dozen times. The recorded message was the same: “You have reached CHRT — the Center for Health and Research Transformation. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our office space is not open to visitors.” What in the world? Apparently, no one had informed the so-called experts that Biden had officially ended the pandemic three years ago. We left messages. None were returned. So we drove out to Ann Arbor to their office space. Damn their Covid restrictions. A security guard escorted us up to their second-floor suite and key-swiped us in. The place brought to mind an empty appliance box. The lights were on, but there were no people. There were eight cubicles with computer monitors but no computers. No photographs. No stacks of paperwork. Just dust and a moldering coffee pot. The security guard was discombobulated. “I’m just confused,” she said. “Me, too.” I said. Whitmer was facing tremendous pressure over her nursing home policy in the summer of 2020. She and her health experts had co-opted the practice of commingling the sick and healthy from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. But Cuomo had abandoned the practice 40 days into the pandemic under withering criticism from family members of people who had died in nursing homes. Whitmer, inexplicably, continued with the practice. And with the criticism mounting, she needed to show it worked. So her Health Department hired the Center for Health & Research Transformation through another nonprofit whose board of directors is controlled by Whitmer. CHRT was then headed by Marianne Udow-Phillips, a former Blue Cross Blue Shield executive and former director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services under Gov. Jennifer Granholm. The documents show that Udow-Phillips, a supposedly independent outsider, was actually an insider who was actively communicating with health officials while conducting the study. And they were planning a public relations push before the report was finalized. “We had a productive call with Marianne this afternoon,” a bureaucrat wrote to then Director of the Department of Human Services Robert Gordon. “They plan to issue a press release in conjunction with the report and we discussed the idea of doing a virtual press briefing together.” “Yes they are putting a chart into their report that is very powerful and we should widely disseminate,” Gordon wrote back. “From my perspective, the main points are: CHRT evidence shows the core of our policy, hubs, was reasonable and effective.” The problem with all of this is that Michigan health officials knew the death data in the federally funded nursing homes was comically flawed. Yet the nonprofit took that data at face value, anyhow. A few months before the release of the nursing home report, the director of CHRT emailed HHS officials looking for direction about what to feed the media. “(A reporter) is doing another article on the lack of data in Michigan nursing home cases and deaths from Covid,” wrote Udow-Phillips. “I’m hoping to better understand the data limitations were currently facing and what’s being done to address them. Thanks so much!” In the end, Michigan’s final nursing home death count is at least 25% lower than the final tallies of both the Auditor General of Michigan and the federal government. Udow-Phillips, who also worked as an intermediary between the Health Department and the Michigan press corps, declined an interview. Gordon, who left the Michigan health department in January 2021 with a $155,506.05 severance package and a non-disclosure agreement with Gov. Whitmer, went on to serve as a Biden Asst. Secretary of Health and Human Resources. According to his LinkedIn profile, Gordon is now the vice president of a nonprofit think tank leading efforts to modernize state-level administration systems. Efforts to contact him proved fruitless. His nonprofit has no centralized office and no publicly listed phone number.
