launching a free and open source granola alternative it's the 2137th open source granola alternative, except this one works and looks good. i made this out of curiosity, following the trend of replacing saas with free software, wanted to see how hard would be to actually rebuild an app.... show more

Something just launched that makes VS Code feel ancient. And im all in for it: Cline Desktop app, an open-source app for open-weight models (and you know how much i love open source) brings its coding agent into a standalone Cline Desktop app for Mac + Windows. Just open a project and tell it what you want to change. No need to open VS Code first. In Cline's demo, it adds priority filters to a task board, works through the code and runs the build. Glad to see the model choice stays open, too. You can bring your own API keys, use supported open-weight models and even switch models halfway through a project!

Okay... this is actually insane. OpenCodex feels like the open-source breakthrough I've been waiting for. The best part : You can plug multiple providers into the same OpenAI Codex harness and switch between models depending on the task. Running low on tokens? No problem. Use another provider. OpenRouter free model today? Plug it in. This completely changes how I think about AI coding workflows. And yes... it even works on mobile. OpenCodex might be one of the most useful open-source AI projects I've seen this year. OpenAI built an incredible harness. The open-source community just made it universal.

Despite being told no, I'm open-sourcing Chatpack. You can now deploy production-ready chat to any app with 30+ native chat features in a single command using npx chatpack@latest I wanted to build a simple chat layer where anyone could add 24/7 live messaging to their app without spending weeks rebuilding the same infrastructure from scratch. Connect your existing auth and database, and Chatpack handles everything underneath. So today, we're open-sourcing Chatpack. > 24/7 real-time messaging between your users > typing, presence, read receipts, permissions, and conversation history > works with your existing auth + database, so your users and data stay yours Run it as a CLI or library. Fully open source. Repo is MIT licensed. If I were starting an AI company today, I'd clone this, pick a market, and begin shipping with Claude Code. Truly excited to see what comes out of this.

I’m launching my first open-source project. If you are building an app like sage by buildspace It’s a generative UI framework for AI applications. This is the demo we created at the ai tinkerers hackathon this Saturday. I am looking for users & contributors. Drop a comment below with how you want to use it.

BREAKING: Krystal Ball has joined Upscrolled "There are a lot of people who are leaving TikTok right now...they're going to this other app, shout out to Upscrolled as like a TikTok alternative. I myself downloaded and playing around with it to see what it's all about."

Midjourney sref + Sora 2 Pro is the sauce. With one Midjourney style image, you can give a specific style for your entire project. I created two different 12-second clips and edited them together. Some details aren’t fully consistent, like the iPod or AirPods because the clips were made separately from a single image (Character in a specific style). It could be fixed in post-production, but that would take more time, and this was more of an experimental test. It would be great to add the actual product image with the current one to maintain product consistency. I feel like if there were a way to add 2–4 images into this workflow, it could open up a lot more possibilities and consistency. With an API, it could be possible. Or let’s see what Veo 3.1 has to offer.

Whenever I see these barbaric miscreants making issue out of non issue, I shudder. You want to make an issue out of a simple missteps owing to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidents shoes stuck in his babariga. Take a look at Peter Obi Pitobi here in the video below falling and had to be assisted, did anybody make an issue out of this? By Gods grace it won’t be long when unsuspecting members of the public’s eyes would be open to realize that these guys are actually IPOB and their sympathizers masquerading as Obidients

I managed to add lip sync with audio but somehow I can't change the audio in this model so it's stuck at Neil Degrassi Tyson 😂 But okay we have a proof of concept, from AI pic -> AI video -> AI lipsync'd I wanted to add an AI voice, anyone know how to make the audio work on this model? @chenxi_jw

I wanted voice dictation on macOS to feel instant and native, and I built Talkify an 8.2 MB macOS dictation app with 123 ms median release-to-text latency. It was the fastest of five apps tested ahead of superwhisper, voiceink, wispr flow and macwhisper. It lives in your notch and have beautiful shader animations and different kind of customizations. Talkify is built on top of Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer using system-managed speech models to transcribe audio entirely on-device, its free and open source.

Wow, I didn’t expect my shader background built with SwiftUI to get this much love. So here's me giving it back. I’ve added the code to my open-source SwiftUI repository. Feel free to use it however you like, and share it with your dev friends. :D

🚨 BREAKING: The greatest Sec. of State Marco Rubio just dropped an ULTIMATUM on Iran "The Straits of Hormuz WILL be open. When this operation is over, it WILL be open, and it will be open one way or another!" "It will be open because Iran agrees to abide by international law and not block the commercial waterway, or a coalition of nations from around the world and the region, with the participation of the United States, will make sure that it's open." "One way or the other, it's going to be open." 🔥
