It took them 5 years to remake Halo CE for the 2nd time since they did it with Halo CE Anniversary… and they were too incompetent to at least put Multiplayer and Theater in? Forget everything else, the bar is so low because they keep throwing a bone to morons that foam at the mouth for the most basic low effort Halo content.

@Waffle_Bomb Yeah it’s basic content. But it’s $20 for Xbox gamepass members. Compared to the $70+ games go for these days, 20 is perfectly reasonable. Plus, they didn’t really remake CE either anniversary. They updated the graphics. This is completely new gameplay mechanics.

I am in the minority, but campaign and co-op were always the selling point for me with Halo. I used to play MP a lot, but the focus on sweaty hyper competitive gameplay, weapon balancing the fun out of all the guns made it unfun. In H:CE, most of the weapons felt powerful.

When the title of the game says, exclusively might I add, “CAMPAIGN” Evolved, and the game is ADVERTISED as a REMAKE of the original CAMPAIGN, how the fuck do you genuinely think “Wow no multiplayer?? Doomed franchise.” Go play MCC it’s literally right fucking there.

You have: -Magnum -Assault Rifle -SMG -Battle Rifle -Rocket Launcher -Needle Rifle -Plasma Pistol -Plasma Rifle -Spiker -Sword -Fuel Rod Gun Probably some other guns I’m missing. You got all the necessary vehicles… I mean literally 5 years since Infinite launched and they couldn’t add some maps and create a functioning MP system? Come on now. Halo 2 launched in 2004 and Halo 3 launched in 2007, absolutely loaded, then Reach in 2010. Bungie’s 7 year span was stacked compared to 2021-2026 for “Halo Studios”. They made everything from scratch. Incredible that a new Halo game standard is so low now.

"No Multiplayer" We are getting a Standalone MP next year most likely. "No Forge, No Firefight & No Theater" Literally none were in the Original game so I don't know why y'all are acting like it was gonna be here. The devs set expectations right by calling it CAMPAIGN Evolved.

From what I gather, the whole purpose of a remake, instead of a continuation of Infinite, was for HS to understand how to use Unreal Engine. While I ofc would have loved to see other features, it doesn’t bother me seeing as it’s being sold at $50 from a AAA studio.

Guys you’re missing the entire point of all of this. The studio needed a project to learn unreal 5. That’s all this is. Now they can make the next main line halo, while parallel development is done in remakes of the other 2 games in the trilogy. Halo 1 only had local MP anyway.

We dont care. My interest in another CE remake is that they remake CE... Im not interested in a list of check boxes. Now when they drop the next mainline game... sure. But not here.

Considering this is the second time they’ve remade the game and considering every FPS has been compared to it for 25 years or so, I think this game has proven that players will stick around for it. But yes, a simple multiplayer would’ve been nice.
