His account was closed for abuse of economy (gold buying), though he denies the claim. Blizzard has stated they intend to punish gold buyers in WoW forever, and they appear to be serious. Though some players note that the gold SELLING sites are still alive and well. (even on the beta) Would the risk of a permaban dissuade you from buying gold in WoW Forever?
