I am still confused about the rooftop carrier law. Different opinions by different MV Act experts. Some say it’s not part of section 52, but only illegal in some states due to RC violation. I’ll looking forward to put a carrier on my Thar but haven’t till date due to this confusion.

MH govt has neither the will nor the courage to enforce rule of law as far as traffic is concerned. Forget about HSRP implementation on pre 2019 vehicles. HSRP is already mandatory (and plates provided by RTO, without which the dealer isn't supposed to deliver the vehicle) for vehicles from 2019 onwards and even these vehicles freely roam around with illegal plates or even no plates, and no action seen to be taken. महाराष्ट्र पोलीस - Maharashtra Police hope u realise the kind of security risk such vehicles are.

Insecurity. When driving and you suddenly sight men in uniform and guns, either soldiers in Army camouflage, police, or paramilitary uniforms standing on the express in an isolated area, slow down from afar and scan the area for proper visibility. If the road is a two lane express, ensure both sides of the road where the uniform men are standing are not covered with bush. If the both sides of the road is covered with thick and over grown grass, please it is a red flag. Before soldiers, police, civil defence, immigration or customs set up checkpoints or road blocks in the middle of nowhere, they will properly clear the bushes on one side, or on both sides of the road where they intend to mount their road block. For most their vehicles have a significant emotional and sentimental attachment, yet decent honest Indians are treated like CRIMINALS & their vehicles are impounded at pumps! Explain to me Why scrap a 15-yr-taxed vehicle in 10 yrs? It's the Condition, not age of the vehicle that should matter! And please don't hide behind NGT & babus! Authorized Emergency Vehicles (Active Duty) Ambulances (with patients/active emergency),FireBrigade trucks,Police Vehicles responding to emergencies,Military Vehicles. Note: These must be actively signalling (sirens/lights) to demand right of way. 2. High-Ranking State Officials (Convoys) The President,The Vice President,The Prime Minister,Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament,Chief Justice and Deputy Chief Justice and Visiting Heads of State. But this ambulance was allegedly stop with patient ofcos because CIC was passing and am sure our president doesn't know that such emergency vehicles are stop because of him.

I expect that the EU u Srbiji, Marta Kos, A von Beckerath and others will immediately condemn the violent protests in Belgrade and the attacks on Serbian police. The rule of law should be respected equally by all. If scenes like these were taking place on the streets of Brussels, the police would act without hesitation to restore order, and such an unregistered protest would be dispersed within minutes. I expect those same standards to be applied in the case of Serbia.

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of a 12-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man, believed to be the driver of a DAF XF 105 articulated truck bearing registration number GS 3097-20, following investigations into a viral video that showed the minor behind the wheel of the heavy-duty vehicle. A group of young teenagers were hanging outside moving vehicles, recklessly putting their lives and the lives of other road users at risk as if they were acting in a movie. This kind of impunity cannot be tolerated in a country governed by the rule of law. Three vehicles were being driven by drivers who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. I believe many of these children have been given too much freedom by their parents, to the extent that they think having money places them above the law. I call upon the Inspector General of Police and the Nairobi Traffic Police to investigate this incident thoroughly, impound the vehicles if the law permits, and take appropriate legal action against the drivers and vehicle owners where offences have been committed. Any minors found engaging in such dangerous behaviour should receive appropriate intervention and counselling, while those responsible for endangering them should be held accountable. No one is above the law. Reckless behaviour on our roads must come to an end before innocent lives are lost.

There is no provision in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 that allows a traffic inspector or constable to physically assault a citizen. ⚖️ What the law actually allows Traffic police can: Stop vehicles for checking Verify documents (DL, RC, insurance, etc.) Issue challans or fines Detain a vehicle in certain violations But use of force is strictly limited and must follow legal procedure only in situations like self-defence or preventing a serious offence, and even then it must be reasonable and proportionate. 🚫 Assault is illegal If a police officer hits or assaults someone, it can amount to: Assault / hurt under the Indian Penal Code Misuse of power / misconduct under police service rules 🛑 What you can do Record the incident (if safe) Note badge number / vehicle number File a complaint with senior police officials Approach the State Human Rights Commission or court 👉 Authority does not give the right to violence. Male’ has a volume issue. Vehicle owners will not switch to buses. The people who use buses are those who find taxis too expensive or who have no other options. Those who own vehicles will not switch to buses cause a private vehicle offers convenience and flexibility that buses don’t. Buses in Male’ are a last resort, economical option for the people who use them. They should not be viewed as a traffic congestion solving policy. Increasing the number of buses will only take up more road space in Male’ and will not reduce the number of private vehicles and taxis. The only way to solve the congestion is to limit the number of vehicles.

ULEZ is expanding across all London boroughs from the 29 August this year to help clear London's air. Those in receipt of certain disability benefits currently qualify for a temporary 100% discount. So do disabled people whose vehicles are registered with the DVLA as having disabled or disabled passenger vehicle tax class. There are also exemptions and temporary discounts for certain wheelchair-accessible vehicles, minibuses used for community transport, historic vehicles and some other vehicles too. Eligible NHS patients may also be able to claim back the charge after they've paid. Remember: if your vehicle is registered for an exemption or temporary discount you may still need to pay the ULEZ charge if you drive a different vehicle that doesn't meet the ULEZ emission standards in the zone. 9 out of 10 cars seen driving in outer London already meet the ULEZ emission standards, based on monthly average compliance levels. Tatenda Mavetera, together with TelOne, have developed a system where if you commit traffic offences such as running a red robot, dangerous parking, and other road violations, you will be detected by cameras? In fact, this system is already in place — it only remains to be officially launched very soon. The system will be managed by the Ministry of ICT, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, and the City Council. I think City Parking Pvt Ltd should simply be empowered so that whenever you park illegally and are caught on camera, they can clamp your vehicle immediately.

There's been more than 600 collisions reported to police since Monday morning & we're asking Calgarians to ensure they're driving according to the winter weather conditions. ❄🚗 Clearing your vehicle of snow, making sure vehicle lights are working & turned on, slowing down & travelling with an emergency kit in case you encounter car trouble are just a few easy but essential things that truly make a difference in everyone's safety, especially in frigid temperatures. If you do find yourself involved in a collision & require a tow, wait for first responders to arrive on scene before agreeing to have your vehicle towed. If vehicles are drivable & if it is safe to do so, move your vehicle off to the side of the road. ‼ For serious-injury collisions, call 911 immediately.

White House border czar Tom Homan defended ICE's use of unmarked vehicles during the traffic stops in Maine and Texas led to the fatal shootings of two unintended targets. “If they didn't activate the lights, then there's an issue there,” Homan told Margaret Brennan. “They should have been equipped with lights and sirens, but I do not know specifically if they activated those lights.” Homan also said, “Bottom line is, we'll see when the investigation plays out, but they would be alive today if they simply complied with a vehicle stop by federal law enforcement.”

There are the Fountainhead self driving trucks in Texas American says the truck is near repeatedly driving by the area over and over again as if it’s lost But here’s the thing, this shouldn’t happen These trucks are not supposed to keep driving forever like this if they are lost. They have ‘Autonomous systems’ with checking 1,000+ components continuously including sensors, software, vehicle systems If ‘Fallback mode’ activates for critical issues the truck should safely pull over to the shoulder or a safe stop location and stop operating autonomously Remote operators should be notified It seems like these vehicles aren’t paying attention to their programming and blindly driving back and forth. There still some bugs that need to be worked out
