Buses in Male’ are a last resort, economical option for the people who use them. They should not be viewed as a traffic congestion solving policy. Increasing the number of buses will only take up more road space in Male’ and will not reduce the number of private vehicles and taxis. @i_s0ba We will have to remove all private vehicles from Male’ roads if we want buses to come on time and that’s never happening. Male’ streets are very narrow, and increasing the number of buses will make traffic even worse. Right now, the number of buses is about right.

@i_s0ba Being working in city council for the last 5 years with me I’m ashamed to hear from u something like this u don’t know the benefit people are getting using bus if not it’s very unlikely we will get a taxi on road introducing bus also couldn’t solve the problem so Pres use taxi

@i_s0ba No additional investment needed. Just utilize the under utilised Malé Taxis as buses. Stop competing with private hire taxi drivers and utilize the vehicles as per the strengths of MTCC for public transport, rather than private hire.

@i_s0ba Blocking the pavements for people who walk is a serious issue cars are parked on pavements and cones kept so people cannot enter pavements. Is this city for people who have vehicles if so be transparent about it.
