He then went to Glasgow & befriended people from Calton Athletic Recovery Group, an organisation of recovering heroin addicts. He was taught how to cook heroin in the "Cookery" classes at Calton. But Glucose powder was used instead of heroin. He considered using the needle but he didn't go through with it. He imagined that cooking a shot was ritualized, and one had to be very precise with it, but Eamon Doherty, drugs advisor, said to him, “No, it’s not a ritual—it’s a pain in the ar$e until you get it into your arm.”. He felt that It was weird how mundane it all was.

He fully supported President Trump, did not want Iran to have a nuke, *and also* did not want a prolonged war with US involvement. He knew that military strikes in the Middle East were serious interventions that could easily go south. He proceeded cautiously; cautiously optimistic might be a good term. He weighed risk vs. reward. But never turned on Trump. He trusted him totally. He was consistent and clear about that. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying. There is no record of nor is there reason to believe Charlie changed his position on Iran in the last days and became a total isolationist.
