Those were the days, all Old women who are married playing with the little one . Beautiful ceremony. It was never sexual,just the child being thrown up and down. Ncooo!!I miss good old days

That's done by ladies or married women who had slept with their boyfriend/husband a day before they visit the house where there is a newborn/few months old baby, for the baby not to get sick. I'm told.

As a person who was raised Sesotho way, its new to me this one. I will find out from others.

For those who don't know, they do this so that the boy child must grow up not fearing to approach women. It's called "Motavaso" ritual, they do it a day after the full moon.

Malapa ha tshwane. My family doesn’t do this. I’m also shocked at this. I’ll camp here and wait to hear what my fellow Basotho who practice this have to say.

They’re doing that to baby boys normally the firstborn baby boys !!! It’s a common practice amongst the Sotho tradition though others no longer practice it , it’s got more to do with celebrating than witchcraft as many of you might be thinking.
