One trick we discovered for avoiding realistic face moderation issues in Seedance 2.0 is using character turnaround sheets (front / side / back views). The first video is one of our experiment results — and it runs successfully. We’ve now integrated character turnarounds directly into our workflow + canvas system: 1. If your artwork was generated on our site, you can drag the image into the canvas directly from the Assets tab 2. Click the “Character Turnaround” button above the image to automatically generate a 3-view turnaround sheet 3. Gather - work in progress what if your notes app felt more like a physical notebook? you can have pages with your notes, your tasks, your thoughts, your inspiration and organize them in a way that is meaningful to you. each page is a little canvas. it might look a little bit like a gimmick, but once you try it, you might feel differently. when designing Gather, Ajay Sabs and i draw our inspiration more than anything from physical things. we’ve always wanted to try and re-create some of the feelings and romanticism we associate with physical notebooks, books and magazines. we’ve always felt there was something special about how pages have an order and how you’re mind creates visual and spatial connections depending on how things are organized - particularly things that you’ve written, revisit often or have a significance to you. the notebook view is an idea we’ve played with for a very long time. and its a lot more than just swiping between pages. this is just a little peek. we are also working on other views that are optimized for different use-cases and different modes of thinking. we’re excited to share some of those soon.

Dad’s home! 🏠 Because it’s one of the most frequent questions I receive, here’s your periodic reminder that your baby doesn’t forget you when you go to work. There’s a developmental milestone known as object permanence and sometimes parents overthink it. In a nutshell it’s the understanding that things continue to exist even when they’re out of sight - and it typically develops somewhere between 6-9 months. Does that mean you cease to exist (to your baby) when you go to work or the grocery store? It can be kind of a scary thought to new parents. The answer, even before the development of object permanence, is no. But it may mean that (even for your toddler) you’re misattributing adult forms of memory to your little one. Infants and toddlers both live very much in the moment and are still developing the type of robust narrative memory we possess as adults. So while you’re gone, it’s not that you cease to exist. Dad’s home! 🏠 Because it’s one of the most frequent questions I receive, here’s your periodic reminder that your baby doesn’t forget you when you go to work. There’s a developmental milestone known as object permanence and sometimes parents overthink it. In a nutshell it’s the understanding that things continue to exist even when they’re out of sight - and it typically develops somewhere between 6-9 months. Does that mean you cease to exist (to your baby) when you go to work or the grocery store? It can be kind of a scary thought to new parents. The answer, even before the development of object permanence, is no. But it may mean that (even for your toddler) you’re misattributing adult forms of memory to your little one. Infants and toddlers both live very much in the moment and are still developing the type of robust narrative memory we possess as adults. So while you’re gone, it’s not that you cease to exist. sora roadmap update: in the spirit of building this app openly, here's what we're landing soon. first, more creation tools. character cameos are coming in the next few days: you'll be able to cameo your dog, guinea pig, favorite stuffed toy, and pretty much anything else you want. you can also create cameos of generated characters straight from your sora videos. we're expecting people to register lots of crazy new cameos with this feature. to make them easier to find, we're updating the generation UI to show the latest trending cameos in real time. we're also adding basic video editing capabilities to the app, starting with stitching together multiple clips, and we'll add very powerful new features here soon. second, we're working on making the social experience much better. we are exploring new ways to use sora with your friends (versus just a global feed) and broader community. think channels that are specific to your university, company, sports club, etc. third, quality of life. the feed has quietly gotten much better recently, and there are more improvements on the way soon (shoutout to Thomas Dimson and team!). team is hard at work continuing to reduce excessive moderation of gens (we know it's super annoying). we're also working to increase the overall performance of the app to feel snappier everywhere. finally, the android version of sora is actually coming soon. please keep giving us feedback!
