With this new setting, you can require your device to be unlocked to toggle certain Quick Settings. When enabled, your phone must be unlocked to toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, & Airplane Mode. Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock or Settings > Display & touch > Lock screen to enable it. Please test this feature and tell us your thoughts!

SplitPaneKit This is something I've wanted to componentize for a while. We've seen this pattern appear in a few apps now, I even use it at Abode. It has a couple "gotcha" moments with performance and optimisation while animating separate or child views with the drag and translation of the split views, handling breakpoints etc, I thought I'd put it into a nice package. I actually made quite a few optimisations from how I handle this with Abode in this package. So might need to implement it over there😅 As before, right now its UIKit only, but SwiftUI host will likely come over the next few days as I make improvements and final changes to the initial API from feedback. - Draggable split-pane interface - Custom breakpoints or built-in presets - Scroll view integration - drag from content or handle - Coordinated animations with pan-effecting views - UIKit

Pi rocks. the fact it can be steered programmatically to such an extent is sick. below we have a structure: - coordinator speaks with me - it's the only one seeing the project broadly: vision, build board, feature lanes - it can spawn workers in separate sessions - workers are dispatched with a feature card and just enough context to deliver, nothing that would distract them - when workers are finished, reviewer kicks in in a separate session. it either accepts the work or sends it back with findings, to a fresh worker, never the one that wrote it. coordinator gets woken either way most of the logic related to communication happens deterministically, so there's a very little chance something relevant is skipped. Pi you guys building one of the most important piece of software of the upcoming months, at least.

X is finally rolling out the redesign of profiles and tabs! 🔥 The classic blue is gone, active tabs now highlight in black or white, with icons appearing next to the active tab name. You’ll also feel satisfying haptics every time you switch tabs. Profiles just got a lot cleaner: tabs have been replaced by icons, reducing visual clutter. Posts & Highlights are now combined into one tab (just tap to switch between them). Same with Videos & Photos. A brand new Reposts tab has been added, so everything you repost lives there instead of mixing with your original posts. Plus, your posts no longer appear in the Replies tab. I’m loving how X is evolving with the new redesigns they’re doing. Thanks to Benji and the design team for this! 👏

Another big drop from Hunyuan3D by Tencent. Hunyuan3D-Buffalo 1.0 is not just another text-to-3D model. The more interesting part is its approach to 3D understanding and editing. It can understand separate parts of a complete asset, extract them, remove or replace them with prompts, and edit only the selected region while keeping the rest of the geometry unchanged. That feels like a much more useful direction for 3D AI in general: not just generating a mesh once, but actually understanding its structure and letting you continue working with it. But here's the interesting part: You don't magically get one 192GB GPU. The memory is split across four cards, and the software has to manage how the model is distributed between them. That's why these machines are interesting for local AI. The problem isn't always compute. Sometimes you just need somewhere to put the model. Would you build this today, or go for a newer GPU with more bandwidth?

This year, I wasn’t nearly as lucky. Just look at these flowers. 😬 As I’ve said before, an outcome like this during the June-August period is not a surprise to me. If one of my cycles falls during these months - especially the flowering stage - there’s always a dilemma: skip the cycle or grow at your own risk. I’m a risk-taking guy, so this time I bet on zero… and lost, haha! 🎰😂 What would you do? Would you take the risk knowing you could end up dealing with something like this, or would you wait a few months and start a controlled cycle with peace of mind? 🤔💚🫂
