You can say that you’ll still train hard, keep yourself in shape, hold YOURSELF accountable. It’s easy to say when you have a goal you’re working towards with a collective group. But when you don’t have that, damn it gets hard. So enjoy it. Take advantage of the time and the energy. For some guys it happens after 6 years of pro ball. For others it happens after 4 years of college. But it will leave you. Let me repeat that: IT WILL LEAVE YOU AND IT SUCKS WHEN IT DOES.

So two Brits do their best to relocate to Australia and set up a new life for themselves and due to a company closing + Visa issues they have to return to the UK People make out it’s easy to just up sticks and leave but I’m telling you from experience it’s really not unless you have a skill that’s in high demand or get married etc “Never in my life did I think I would post this. But here it is: I am leaving Australia. My chosen home. The place that shaped me. The place I thought I would grow old in. It still feels unreal. But sometimes life turns around and has different plans for us. What happened: my partner and I were on a sponsor visa and about to get our permanent residency in March 2026. A few months ago we got the news that his company was sold. At the same time, his occupation was removed from the visa list, which meant there was no real way for us to apply for another visa. There were other options to get PR, but after four years of working hard and spending a lot of money, we both didn’t feel ready to start another process. So we decided to take it as a sign and leave Australia. But the closer the day comes, the sadder I feel. To leave my home, my apartment, my people and the life I built here. For some it’s just a country, but for me it’s the life I created that I now have to say goodbye to. This is what “rich” looks like I wake up everyday feeling like I hit the lotto. Not when I’m up on a trade or when I drive one of my cars, but in quiet moments like this. Just a few years ago, I was facing prison time. Broke. Delivering food on DoorDash to scrape together a few hundred bucks to fund my trading account. We shared a one-bedroom apartment with $500 to our name after bills. The journey from there to here wasn’t overnight. It wasn’t glamorous. It was a grind that broke me down before it built me up…but it made me the man I am today. Yes, I have the cars and watches now that people associate with success. But I can tell you with absolute certainty…they don’t compare to this. Building a life with someone who believed in you when nobody else did and winning the game of life Trading changed my financial situation, but gratitude changed my life. If you’re reading this and still in the grind, just keep pushing. I know it may seem like it will never work, but it will. You have to believe that. You have to be thankful for every little thing because without the bad there is no good. Without the bad you become weak. The most important thing is to remember what you’re working towards and make sure there is real meaning behind it. There’s nothing wrong with cars or a lavish lifestyle… But the only way you’ll have the hunger to get it and sustain it long term… Is by having a higher purpose that you constantly remind yourself of.
