This woman has been begging for years in the Westlake Village, CA area. She always has her kids with her. One time her husband was there too and I told them they should be ashamed of themselves and do they want their kids growing up and begging too. He used to drive an older model Mercedes at the time.

She might be an invader, but she is pretending to speak Spanish for some reason. Stealing is wrong, she is giving her child a horrible example and it is better the child learns early in life that stealing is wrong.

I don't think this is the proper way to handle this. If she was stealing bring her into an office with a female present and detain her until police can arrive but physically restraining her in front of child isn't right. I don't know the details, but I think the deportations can still happen while incorporating compassion and empathy. I think those that have a record of being productive members of society w/o a criminal background should be given a chance to become legal. Not sure of this woman's status but the term 'invader' was used and she may well be desperate for food and if that is the case, buy her some food.
