As the first openly #LGBTQ+ person from #SaudiArabia, I understand your experience deeply. Growing up in a strict Wahabist Islamic community (similar to the Mormon church), pressure to conform was immense. Arranged marriage loomed at 16-17, and religious restrictions felt suffocating. I even participated in Islamic Center prayers under constant surveillance. Like many Saudis, fear for my safety became a constant companion. Planning my escape was crucial. I knew coming out meant becoming a fugitive, hunted by the #Saudi government. This wasn't paranoia; in 2016, facing government-sanctioned kidnapping, I fled to a safehouse. Challenges seemed insurmountable, but my resolve to fight remained. Now, in a safer space with extensive security measures, I dedicate myself to normalizing the LGBTQ+ community. My fight extends beyond the #US. My activism focuses on the #MiddleEast, and most importantly, on transforming Saudi Arabia!

@WolfLegrand After hearing this interview, knowing where U came from, & same outlook on being gay makes U even more attractive 2 me. I say: “I am a gay man. Sex with other men rectifies that. If U do not like gay sex, then U do not like me.” 😹 normalization of gay sex in a hetero world.
