Let me introduce the Blender CNC toolpath material plugin I recently made: it quickly generates pocket tool marks, parallel finishing, continuous spiral, and sidewall vertical textures. #blender #CAD #rendering #CNC #hardsurface

I WANT IT SO MUCH DAAAAAAAAAMN

Don't worry, friend! I'm making an English version of the plugin, and once it's ready, you can buy it for a few dollars.

i will! btw how does it work? i mean would it work on top of other material?

You can add CNC toolpaths to any of your materials, because it adds a normal node based on your material and then creates a new CNC toolpath material independently.

Groovey!

Were can download?

I'm preparing the English version, and later I'll upload it to my ArtStation shop for sale. If you like, you can follow my X account for updates~

For sale bro open source!! Lol if its much ill buy it

这么屌

谢谢九月哥~

Ridiculous!

Hmm shouldnt the effect be done through anistropy? In real life the "cnc" tool marks are micro scratches in a certain pattern on shiny metal - what you've shown looks like normals/displacement.

You’re right that anisotropy is important for very fine finishing marks. However, visible CNC scallops are also real surface topography, so I use bump normals for the toolpath profile and anisotropy for the finer directional reflections. No actual displacement is used here

The height difference is equal to bad tramming of the cnc spindl - its a flat slope.. shouldnt be larger than a micron on a solid endmill. When talking about ball nose end mill but those are not usually used for.flat pockets - but for.3d surfacing

送给我!!!

Truly impressive! Congratulations for your success!
