Schools are often the first trusted room in a crisis. Teaching children about Bundibugyo Ebola so they can warn their families is practical, not abstract. Hope the outbreak is contained quickly, and that those communities are not left to carry it alone.

World Health Organization (WHO) and many partners are supporting the establishment of Ebola treatment centres in #DRC. Yesterday, I witnessed the opening of one such centre in Bunia, which will ensure that patients in the community can access lifesaving care. Together, we will stop this outbreak.

A doctor fighting Ebola on the frontlines in Democratic Republic of Congo warned that those who do not believe that the disease is real could contribute to the further spreading of the outbreak. "Ebola is real. It killed a lot of people. It has killed a lot of people in the past and it can potentially kill more if people continue not to believe that it's real," Dr. Abdou Sebushishe told CBS News' Ramy Inocencio.
