Let’s Dance hit in March 1983. Four months later? Bowie on the cover of TIME with the headline “Dancing to the Music.” Proof that 1983 was HIS year. Time Magazine- July 18th, 1983 🎨Mick Haggerty

I know the Ziggy purists hate this iteration, but this is a brilliant song, and he looks great, it's all unforgettable. The belting male chorus is also an underused thing, I loved it the first second I heard it, yes, 43 years ago.

Featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar too.

Forty three years? Impossible. Check again.

@werthro ...the SERIOUS moonlight

Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost.

David Bowie was a flamboyant megastar.

“Put on your 👠 and dance the blues…”

The Black influence in this masterpiece is what made it a hit.

@keeshalldaylong Just you shut your mouth….I can’t THAT old! 🤭

they were #happytimes

Later in years he wouldn't play this song for any of his concerts. He hated it.
