Frank Kole, formerly known as rapper Comethazine, just released a new song titled “Autumn Leaves,” and the bold rhymes he once delivered are replaced with the soulful sounds of a trumpet he’s playing. The musician debuted the music video for the song on Nov. 27. Today (Dec. 1), he shared the visuals on his Instagram account with a message about his 1922 trumpet. “This record was made in the months of autumn,” he wrote. “This record is to be thought too. Recorded on my 1922 CONN horn. Autumn Leaves, OUT NOW. Herbstblätter, jetzt erhältlich.” Fans are appreciating the rebrand. “Living proof that you can be whatever you wanna be in life if you just go for it,” one wrote in the YouTube comments for the video. Another added a play on the lyrics to the former rapper’s 2018 hit “Walk,” saying, “I walk around like that distinguished gentleman.” Kole has ditched the bars for the brass instrument. In 2021, he first announced the new artist name on Instagram as the caption for his baby photo. Last year, he debuted the song “Smokestack Lightning (Intro),” which serves as the introduction to the upcoming project Electric Mazeland. In the video for the song, Kole sings over an ominous guitar-driven track and speaks German. His last official project as Comethazine was Bawskee 5 in 2022. Looks like more Frank Kole music is on the way.
