Another good thing to add for beginners is the importance of having your heels on the ground. Got to make sure you have strong base so you don’t slide around/lose stability

How do you feel about lower weights higher reps? On my program it recommends doing 20 reps for some exercises but my goal is to build muscle

Doing light weight with higher reps really helps build muscle endurance, and you will want a good balance of endurance and mass as you progress...so doing both in your routine isn't bad at all (and what I do often!)
