I was honored to represent Tanzania at CSW69- the 69th Commission on the Status of Women at the UN Head Quaters in New York as part of Club de Madrid’s High Level Delegation that includes the former President of Chile Madam Michele Bachelet. I had the privilege of speaking on multiple panels, sharing my journey as a young woman leader while addressing critical issues shaping the future of women and youth. From AI and technology to women’s leadership in politics and business, I highlighted how mentorship, economic opportunities, work-life balance and digital transformation can empower the next generation. We must shift gender narratives, implement bold policies, and create real access to resources for women to thrive! Proud to have shared the stage with the First Woman President of Chile who also happens to be the first Executive Director of UN Women and also former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and current Vice President of @club_de_madrid Madam Michelle Bachelet and the current Maria A Reed Stacey Executive Director Maria A Reed Staceychief, Executive Director of GWL Voices and President of the 73rd UN General Assembly Ms. Maria Fernanda Espinosa, Ministers from Spain, Slovenia, Greece, the Permanent Representative of Greece to the UN, Women’s International Forum (WIF) representatives, and many others—all driving meaningful change. I attended bilateral meetings with permanent representatives from Philippines, Japan, Chile, Norway, and with the Secretary General of the TB Tanzania’s progress is inspiring, but our work continues.
