is seemingly not over – the narukami/watatsumi subplot seems to have been resolved via events, closing this chapter of inazuma and offering more time for other kind of plots. it's notable that inazuma never got an interlude quest nor a dain quest, making me think that there's

something bigger that they're waiting for and this dialogue affirms my suspicions. inazuma famously borders the “dark sea” and has been riddled with wars historically, something dain also points out. inazuma is a country marked by war, including recent events, hence ei wants to

avoid one at all costs. however a “bigger war”, one that's unavoidable, would result in ei stepping in and in miko's opinion everyone that had come to the festival would support her & follow ei into battle. since ei immediately recognizes the topic miko speaks about, they seem

to have talked about this before – and that's where things get interesting. during a fontaine event we see ayato being in fontaine on “official business”, this business is to strengthen cultural ties & relations with fontaine. forging ties with other nations is essential not only

for inazuma's arc of reopening their borders, but also as a potential ally during a war and since the shrine has its fair share of collaboration with the yashiro commission, since their respective fields are connected to an extent, it wouldn't be too absurd to speculate if miko

was the one secretly pulling the strings behind this in preparation for The War. since miko has already spoiled to us the plot of sumeru once and has alluded to a bigger theory being potentially true, it would fit right in for her to pull the strings in the background for future

concerning inazuma. especially because this isn't the only time ayato was sent on “official business”, during the lantern rite patch we see ayato appearing once more and he's once more on a business trip, though only partly this time.

additionally to that we see ganyu, miko's old friend, visiting miko in a chibi art pretty recently. overall we can notice a trend of characters visiting other regions and collaborations between regions becoming more common, which is even shown in

arlecchino's demo where she also appears in multiple regions, including once again – the grand narukami shrine, but also mondstadt's church. while this may simply have to do with arlecchino's own motifs of heaven & hell, it's still interesting in my opinion to take note of.

this also brings us back to irodori festival where yae miko and venti talk in secret – becoming quiet the moment the traveler approaches. they play it off as having talked about food, but paimon points out that even if they were plotting something they wouldn't tell them.

// very minor spoiler for 4.7, not like of the story or anything just event description additionally in 4.7 we will have a fighting event arranged by the “millelith *and* the armed forces of neighboring nations”, so they may improve teyvat's security and improve their tactics

this is an international collaboration, which makes it all the more interesting and all the more suspicious since it seems like teyvat *is* preparing for war. so far inazuma has been thrust into the center by having them foreshadow it, which makes sense esp if we believe that

it might have to do with the dark sea (although we're obvs not sure about that) it could also be against celestia? hmm interesting also since liyue is involved – miko's and ganyu's appearance together could have a whole different meaning now? + ayato being in liyue too?

so potentially the set up has been there since irodori? well yes, but perhaps not. rather i want to point out that celestia has had a bad image from pretty much the start, and that a war with the heavenly principles has already been mentioned by the abyss sibling twice.

but so far it seems like inazuma is front & center of this confrontation, potentially making them teyvat's first line of defense? esp if it has to do with the dark sea,,, hmm

i'd also like to point out that the fatui are making their moves more & more now, making their final preparations for project stuzha, and that the next nation we're going to is natlan the nation of war. so perhaps the war line is about natlan? mhm, maybe? but personally i dont

think that's all there is to it – i think this is something bigger, either for teyvat itself or at least for inazuma though the first one sounds the most likely one. overall we can conclude that this might be something hyv has been building up to for a while now, that inazuma

will likely play a critical role in this and we should be suspicious of any events where we have an international cast.

on an off note: The War = ei lore potentially 🥹 true form potentially 🥹🥹🥹 miko using her powers 🥹 INAZUMA EXPANSION??!1?!+??*!+$( ok im chill now... i think

the way they talk about this topic,, they've been brooding over this istg

anyways while you're here and seeing me yap nonsense

+ while you're here support oomf it's a very interesting thread even if you're not a shipper!!

this was just me yapping bcs i rlly want more dark sea x inazuma content aksks that's why i brought it up 😭😭 i am clinging to my 1% hope here guys
