You're an amazing teacher, if for no reason other than your passion for your kids. Your excitement (I'm a total history geek) is infectious & we need more teachers like you. There's nothing wrong with being a force of nature & you are that force. BTW I'd love to see those notes.

I am grateful I had good history teachers, who did a lot like what you said you are moving to do. He was a little "modern" and viewed the world thru a different lens, and I'm grateful for the experience

It’s called critical thinking, not critical memorizing.

That’s amazing. Honest question: how do you react when someone with very opposing views bring a strong argument that challenges your original POV? Do you feel you change your instance often?

I think you are awesome. But I also think, what we all lacked, is that even if we can't find proof, being told that the possibility exists that all history we have been taught is a lie.

My son hasn't been able to go to class often so he and I have to learn outside the classroom, and that makes it so much more fun. We dig into stuff that interests him and look for more info.
