Liberals refuse to accept that anyone they've decided is "on the wrong side" actually sincerely holds the beliefs they say they do. They assume we don't really mean it when we say men can't be women; that we genuinely support free speech (even the "hateful" kind), that Islam is... a threat to Western democracy and values; that mass immigration is a problem, that harm reduction does not help the addiction crisis and in fact makes crime and homelessness worse. They think we voted for Trump out of spite, rather than because we actually support his policy positions and because he was talking about things that genuinely concerned us. They now act like it's impossible that Spencer Pratt and his supporters actually care about the things he says he cares about and wants to address. You know why? Because they are insincere. Do they really think communism is going to happen? No. They’re trying to scare people because they don’t want us talking about the fact that we all have a right to health care. So they want to call everything they don’t like communist because if people actually wake up to the fact that their elected officials are screwing them over when they get here, they’re going to realize they deserve better and that health care as a right isn’t crazy. They want to call it communist because they don’t want you to know that Germany, Italy, the UK, Canada—everybody else—has it better than us, and we spend the most money for the worst care in the developed world.

This couple is having a wedding that will reflect who they are. They openly don’t seem to care if anyone will actually go or not. I think weddings are a celebration for everyone to join in for a special day. But I also think that offending guests before they even go might be a decision that will turn in a decision full of regret. So here’s my take on this. The way I see it is that they are going to be disappointed. I know others might argue and say that it’s selfish for the guests to not go because of the conditions set forth by the bride and groom, however it goes both ways. If they know guests won’t like the conditions of the wedding, then maybe they should compromise a little. I think they should give people options. I feel that this is going to show the bride and groom who is actually their real friends and who aren’t in their eyes. They won’t care if the guests don’t like the wedding rules, they are going to expect them to go because they think that their attendance shows that they care and that they are local.

That’s why I’m a little allergic to this idea that we shouldn’t worry about our democracy because we need to talk about things that are a little more immediate. They go together. We should talk about all of them at once. The reason why you paid $1,000 more per household last year in tariffs is because we have a president who doesn’t think he’s accountable to the American people and didn’t think he had to follow the law. And if Mike Johnson wants to say that this shutdown is going to last a long time, it is because he is choosing to punish the American people.

We should not traffic in generality. We should not say things like 'they' shot Charlie without specifying whom we mean by 'they'" "When people say 'they' shot Charlie, however, they are instead trafficking in vagary that results in increased hatred without proposing any effective response.
