Lindsey Graham was more than our Senator. He was a devoted public servant, a fierce advocate for South Carolina, & an even better friend. Our state lost a giant. I joined the SC delegation in honoring his legacy today during a moment of silence on the House floor. May... show more

Truly saddened to hear of the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham. He was a dedicated public servant, a steadfast advocate for America’s interests, and a true friend of the Kurdish people. My thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, loved ones, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Lindsey Graham was a true public servant. He was a dear friend who loved his country, the people of South Carolina, and led through his faith. He was passionate and fought hard for everything he believed in. He truly made things happen in DC. We will miss him.

Grateful for the opportunity to speak on the House floor about my friend and colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham. I shared editorials from various respected publications, including New York Post, about his dedication as a public servant to South Carolinians and America. His legacy will live on.

🇺🇸 JUST IN: The U.S. Senate is back in session for the first time since the sudden passing of Senator Lindsey Graham. They opened with prayer as our tradition demands. A solemn moment on Capitol Hill today. Senator Graham served South Carolina and America with distinction for over two decades. A fierce foreign policy voice, a true patriot, and in recent years a strong ally to President Trump. President Trump called him “one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known” and “a true American Patriot.” Thoughts and prayers to his family, his staff, and the people of South Carolina. Rest in peace, Senator. 🙏

🚨BREAKING: Lindsey Graham has died. Breaking from Washington: Prominent South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has passed away at the age of 71. His office confirmed he died from a brief and sudden illness. Details remain limited, but this is a major loss for the Senate and the nation. Graham served in the Senate since 2003, over two decades of strong leadership on defense, national security, and international affairs. He chaired key committees, was a fierce advocate for a strong America, and was just back from meeting with Zelensky in Kyiv. He was seeking re-election this fall. Rest in peace

Lindsey Graham served South Carolina for more than three decades. An Air Force veteran and JAG officer, he carried his commitment to service throughout his career in Congress. Very few senators leave a mark like Lindsey Graham. Now, his sister, Darline Graham Nordone, will carry his service forward. Appointed to complete the term he was serving when he passed, she will become the first woman to represent South Carolina in the United States Senate. Lindsey spent his life taking care of his family and serving his state. His legacy lives on.

It was an honor to serve alongside my friend Senator Lindsey Graham. A fearless patriot who never shied away from tough fights, always stuck to his principles, and worked across the aisle to strengthen our nation. May he rest in peace.

Lindsey Graham was booed relentlessly during a Trump rally in SC. Lindsey who sold his soul and went from being a fierce Trump critic to a spineless pathetic Trump shill deserves every second of the boos.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott honors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, remembering him as a relentless statesman who dedicated his entire life to the nation. “You could count on Lindsey being there for his friends. And the good news for America, Lindsey saw this nation as a part of his family, and he worked night and day.” “Lindsey Graham, he was not a self-made person. It was his family, his friends, his neighbors, and his God that made all the difference in his world.”

Senator Tim Scott was visibly emotional on CNN as he remembered his friend and fellow South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. SCOTT: “Well, Jake, gosh, America’s lost a true statesman.” “We don’t have many left. But he was a true statesman.” “But I’ve lost a friend. It is a morning of mourning for me.” “It’s a powerful reminder that life is fleeting, that we are not here very long.” “If I were to tell stories about Lindsey Graham, one of the most important stories is that when I was a new senator, he welcomed me in.” “He knew that my path was different. He understood the power of change in South Carolina and how much our state had changed. But he was one of the first folks in the Senate to welcome me in with open arms.” “And I will say that I do a South Carolina Prayer Breakfast every year in D.C. And I called Lindsey the first time, and Lindsey said, ‘Tim, if this thing starts before 10 A.M., I’m not coming because I’m not going—even if Jesus comes back before 10 A.M.’” “And I just laughed out loud. And of course, it started at 8:30. And who walked in the door at 8:31? Lindsey Graham.” “He was just the kind of committed person that you don’t really appreciate how committed he was to America.” “I can’t think of a more committed public servant to this country.”

🚨 PRESIDENT TRUMP HONORS LINDSEY GRAHAM: "He Was a Fantastic Person" Trump on his closest Senate friend: Daily calls, golf, strategy sessions, strong on the SAVE America Act, pivotal Kavanaugh defense that turned the tide. Graham had one "bad moment" on Jan 6 he quickly regretted, Trump gives him 99.9/100. A true patriot who fought for America, South Carolina, Israel, and strong foreign policy. Rest in peace, Senator. Your legacy lives on. God bless!
