Linebackers: Your SPEED is an asset. Use it.

I agree with this 100%. It feels like P4 ILBs are mostly out of central casting as huge freak athletes, but 1AA/D2 had a really wide variety of size at ILB. The smaller and quicker LBs who were allowed to avoid or slip blocks were often a nightmare to block. It felt like too many of the most elusive LBs were forced to first attack OL instead of initially slipping blocks. Has this changed?

Study tendencies on film. How each individual linemen moves off the ball if it’s run or pass. Study this little part along with your entire film study operation and your speed will dramatically increase.
