It's a Jaguar so it's South America so it's a Caiman, not an alligator. Jaguars love the water and are incredibly strong. Their bite can either penetrate into the brain or sever the spinal cord. They don't go for the throat they go straight for the brain, piercing through the skull. Out of all the big cats, they are the most used to hunting in water and have one trick up their sleeve that their fellow Panthera brethren have yet to master: a bone-cracking bite to the back of the skull, which automatically paralyzes their crocodilian prey.

😭Sad to watch a lion catch a vulture like this. But nature is full of moments that remind us how every creature has its own purpose. Vultures may not be the prettiest birds, and many people don’t pay attention to them… until they realize how important their job is. These birds are nature’s clean-up crew. They remove carcasses before they rot, preventing the spread of diseases and keeping ecosystems healthy. So even though scenes like this are hard to watch, they also remind us that every species—big or small, loved or ignored—plays a role in keeping the environment balanced. Nature is tough, but it’s also deeply connected. And sometimes the heroes don’t look like heroes at all. 🌍

Our, Shaikh, the ʿAllāmah, Rabeeʿ Ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him) said in some powerful words: "The Salafis in the east of the world and its west, the Arabs and non-Arabs—all of them are as if they are one family. The Indian [Salafi] is united with the Saudi, with the Yemeni, and so on, with all races and all nations. They are as brothers as if nurtured at the hands of one scholar—upon one manhaj, one ʿaqeedah—and the way they deal with events and tribulations, subhānallāh, [even though] one is in the east, one in the west, and the other in the Hijāz, [regardless] their view is the same. Why? Because their manhaj is precise and proper—all of them—and they take from the same fountain. May Allah bless you. I have seen that the Salafis: those in the north, the south, the east and the west—all of them are brothers, may Allah bless you. The Shaikhs of the north are the Shaikhs of the south, and the Shaikhs of the south are the Shaikhs of the north—they are all united. No one says [only] Shaikh so-and-so or [only] so-and-so. This is the video that inspired the tweet I'm quoting. Imagine the power that a male lion in his prime wields! The whole pride is feasting on a carcass and they just heard the roar from a male. Just one the roar. They didn't see him o, they just heard the roar. From the roar, they knew how powerful he is. They all left the food and ran away. I saw the video and I realized how it makes so much sense that lions don't reign too long in their prime. The maximum time a lion will reign for is just about 6 years. I now imagined if they live long like elephants and the rest. It won't make sense. One animal (or human) should have so much power for too long.

Kenji, the baby Mooseweiler, is learning to be comfortable with a muzzle. He isn't aggressive or likely to bite someone, so why do we do this? Emergency preparedness. If he's ever seriously injured the vet clinic will likely muzzle him as soon as they take him into the back. Even the gentlest of dogs with the best temperaments might become fearful and bite if they are in pain and someone tries to exam their injury. Especially if it's a stranger or they already have negative feelings about vet clinics. Even something as straightforward as a torn nail can be painful enough that a muzzle is used. Putting the muzzle on allows the veterinary team to quickly and safely examine the dog, perform first aid, or start an IV for sedation if needed. If a dog has never worn a muzzle, it can add to the stress and fear they are already experiencing from being restrained and examined while being in pain, especially if they try to resist having it put on. It's much easier on the dog and the veterinary team if the dog is comfortable with wearing a muzzle. If the dog has had a lot of positive conditioning with the muzzle it can actually help calm them as it's something familiar with good emotions attached. Anytime I can help my dogs avoid unnecessary stress, I'll do it. Muzzle training is one way and it helps ensure we're prepared for emergencies. Often when someone sees a dog wearing a muzzle, they assume the dog is aggressive. That's often not the case. It could simply be wearing it during training to get comfortable with it or it might be a dog that eats things off the ground. It could also be a responsible owner of a fearful dog that might snap if an unleashed dog rudely runs up. A muzzle doesn't mean a dog is bad. Nothing new that Taeyeon always been the punching bag not just outside the fandom, but even within her own fandom. What's heartbreaking is that she's always been so supportive of every member and has never hesitated to express how proud she is of them. Taeyeon said, "If you look at our members there's not a single one of them that shows a bad side about themselves. They're all so awesome and they're all still going strong in their respective positions today and I'm so proud of that in itself.
