Liquid Glass has landed on Cosmos iOS. The bottom navigation is always shapeshifting, so it felt like the perfect place to introduce it. Currently experimenting with more ways to integrate glass into Cosmos universe. Maybe even a little drip from the Dynamic Island.. 👀

designers love to hate on raw, unfinished things. redesigning the whole ios/watchos/macos/... ui after a decade is a brutal challenge for any design team! almost impossible to satisfy the expectation. most haters around here have never designed in a large organization like apple and are not aware of challenges such as politcs, opiniated stakeholder, impossible deadlines, the list goes on... i empathise with the ui designers in apple. yes! os26 and liquid glass feels rough at the moment! so did the ios7 at launch. it evolved. this will too. i appreciate the brave direction apple has taken with this liquid glass ui. yes it comes with challenges including readability, compatibility and more... let's stop b*tching about it and contribute to solutionise these challenges.

Only having one day to attend the cosplay festival meant I changed into another outfit in the afternoon. This is currently my absolute favorite costume. I wish I could show everyone more of it clearly 😭 The instrument is made from some kind of glass-like material, and the craftsmanship is just insanely delicate and perfect 🥹 Aaaaaa it feels so amazing to be able to cosplay Arknights again!!

HUAWEI HarmonyOS 6.1’s liquid glass effect is indeed the closest implementation to iOS 26 among all current smartphone operating systems. It looks genuinely beautiful. This may be one of HarmonyOS’s advantages. At least in terms of visual rendering, dynamic blur, transparent materials, and layered depth, Huawei has clearly shown that it has the ability to create this kind of premium glass-like effect. I am not trying to argue whether it is right or wrong for Huawei to follow Apple’s design direction. My point is that the ability to actually achieve this effect is impressive in itself. By comparison, other Android-based OS skins have not yet shown the same level of execution. The Android camp still has work to do.

Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. Almost Off the Waitlist Hopefully🤞…My indexing is finally done… just waiting on Apple to hit the button from the servers 🤔👍 Most of the features are working.. even a partial of the New Siri AI … and When I asked the new siri ai something it actually does the request but not in the dynamic Island… It still has the same glow around the screen like an iOS 26 so still partial.. so I asked her to pull up my last conversation from iMessage and it did it, not like the old Siri that says I’m sorry I don’t know how to do that!

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.
