You actually introduced me to the Graham Beck Ultra Brut, which I really like so much. 🙏🏽 Veuve just has a special place in my heart mainly because of its history and how I don’t struggle with hangovers after.

Thank you, Veuve is indeed a very good sparkling wine 🥂

This is exactly why I always travel with my SA wines when going international. Most of the time it’s to gift my non-SA friends, which always leaves them wanting more (we like that 🤗 ) , but it also means I get to drink premium wine , no sulphites , without breaking the bank ! 🫠

Gimme a Charles Fox, Graham Beck, Simonsig or Claudia any day over that rubbish mass produced French stuff 🚮💫

He did not lie about Graham Beck!!!! I love it!!!

I’m a Cap Classique girly 🥹🤌🏽❤️

👌🏾🥂

La Lude. Charles Fox.

Le Lude🥂

They’ll still go for it cause it’s good for flexing. I’d like to see someone drink it and not post they drank it

It’s a known fact, not unless you don’t know anything about alcohol.

I don’t agree with this thesis overall. I think both Cap Classique and Champagne have their place; it’s not one against the other. I’ve also consistently experienced Champagne differently in Europe versus South Africa, even with the same brands. I don’t yet know whether that comes down to storage, transport, supply-chain conditions, provenance or something else, so I don’t want to speculate beyond my own experience. But it does make me hesitant to compare the two markets purely on retail price. I’d actually like to look into the data around this.

SA🇿🇦 wine for me all the way, nothing else🙌🏿

Someone will tell us we’re not the target market that time they’re being robbed blind 😂😂

I enjoy the black widow personally SA sparkling wines are elite no doubt

Le Lude bangs 😭

@thecultureecon I don’t drink but I’m looking at these as amazing gifts idea for the wine lovers out there. Thank you.

@VerB4 Do they know La Lude Brut Rosé 😫😫😫😫

Let people eat their money in peace

Okay 👍🏾

The french themselves don't even rate it

I agree about the price but I dont agree that most of those MCCs are better than Veuve. Its not only the premium price from marketing, its also the terror, history and experience that makes those champagnes special. They have found a distinctive taste year in year out.

Baddies don’t care coz it’s not like they paying for it

@The_Lyon_King01 Amari lush any day 🥂

Same goes with 1818 vs Croc vs Absolute vs sky.

Can you do the same graphic commentary on his recommendations like for a R450 bottle how much goes to production and for how much to marketing?

When I feel like I drink MCCs and loyal to these homegrown products. They are lekker too!!

@Anele Which one over here is the sweetest ?

My fav MCC are: Graham Beck, Babylonstoren, Steinberg

Do people still not know that even our cheapest wines are highly recommended?

Ohh give me Colmant and Silverthorn River dragon any day 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

Home brewed is always the best 👌

@shlangak Let me follow you🙂

🇿🇦 got the best wines 🫶🏿
