After the Syrian interior ministry announced today that they had stopped an illegal arms shipment being smuggled by Iranian agents to Hezbollah in Lebanon using oil trucks coming from Iraq to Syria's coast, Iraqi truckers were allegedly held on the Syrian side of the border in the hot summer sun and refused permission to cross back over to Iraq until they were sniffed for contraband and illegal weapons by the border unit's dog. However, the truckers complained that they were told that the dog was "sleeping" and that they'd have to wait in the sun while the dog finished its nap in the cool air-conditioned caravan.
