BREAKING | 🇵🇱🇷🇺🇺🇦‼️‼️ Poland has ordered the evacuation of two locations near the Ukrainian border following a Russian strike in western Ukraine, as Warsaw takes additional precautions against the risk of the war spilling across NATO territory. The evacuation covers areas near the Zosin border crossing in Hrubieszów County and Dorohusk. Poland also placed its military aviation on full readiness and scrambled fighter aircraft in response to the Russian attack. This marks the sixth time in just 10 days that Polish military aircraft have been activated because of Russian strikes against Ukraine. The frequency of these alerts is becoming increasingly significant. Poland is no longer treating Russian strikes close to its frontier as isolated episodes, with repeated fighter deployments and now precautionary evacuations showing how directly the continuing attacks in western Ukraine are affecting security measures on the Polish side of the border. Polish PM Tusk: Poland's security depends directly on the effective actions of the Ukrainian military, including in the air. If Ukrainians had much more of what they've been asking for all along, perhaps that [Russian Kh-101 cruise] missile wouldn't have entered Poland. Ukrainian fighter jets monitored and attempted to intercept the missiles heading toward the Polish border all the way to the border itself. There is no reason to believe that Poland was the target, but two of these objects violated Polish airspace. One definitely did, because we have evidence of it here, and the other was near the Polish border, but that was a very short signal and it did not lead to any consequences.

Mykhailo Tkach, a journalist of Ukrainska Pravda media, went to the Polish border and conducted an investigation to find out the scale of trade turnover between Poland and Belarus. It turned out that while Ukrainian agricultural products are blocked at the border, Poland pays hundreds of millions to companies from Russia and Belarus for seeds, oil and animal feed. ▪️ Poland trades with Russia and Belarus, while Ukraine is banned even from transit. Ukrainian agricultural exports to Poland fell by 40% last year. In August, amid protests, Poland banned imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds from Ukraine, and in September, it added rapeseed cake and meal, corn bran, wheat flour and derivatives. Since April 2023, Ukrainian grain has been going through Poland only in transit. Despite this, protests at the border continue. There are about 6 thousand cars in line to leave Ukraine for Poland, and another 2 thousand to enter Poland Imports of agricultural products from Russia to Poland in 2023 reached $117 and exceeded the level of 2021, i.e. the level before the full-scale war. Poland purchased $55 million from Lukashenko, which also exceeds the profits of previous years. ▪️ "Disservice" to ourselves Poland not only continues to trade with the aggressor state and its satellite, but also increases imports of agricultural products. The situation already shows that the Poles have done a "disservice" to themselves, because Polish grain has been displaced by Russian grain on foreign markets. Russia, in turn, has increased its exports by stealing Ukrainian grain, among other things. ▪️ Playing on dislike of Ukrainians Some Polish pro-Russian politicians purposefully make Ukrainians public enemies. They are allegedly destroying the Polish economy and have allegedly been ungrateful in response to Poles' help after the Russian invasion. However, it is worth realizing that refusal to cooperate with Ukraine will deprive Polish farmers themselves of many opportunities.
