Little Richard was way ahead of his time and everyone copied his style. The Beatles made his 'Wooooo' sound on She Loves You and we all thought it was so original but in fact it wasn't!

He appeared at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool with The Beatles in the early 1960's and he was absolutely brilliant.

Little Richard is the most under-rated performer of his era, IMO. A legend.

Billy Preston played keyboards for Little Richard and that's where the Beatles met him. Which is why they welcomed him so warmly on the Let It Be/Get Back sessions, and why they signed him to Apple Records afterwards. Billy plays on electric piano on Get Back.

He was 1 of a kind. The epitome of pure energetic raw, hormonal rock n roll.
