Jons whole schtick on BTC is special is based on price movement. BTC has unique tailwinds and Saylor flywheel and ETH unfortunate headwinds via Grayscale dumping on the Trust conversion during the carry trade unwind. It's the real reason for the disconnect on price. BTC enjoyed Q1 2024 everything rally to help it absorb via ETF appetite the Trust conversion dump. ETH ETF launched at a worse risk period and the sell off into poor market conditions meant ETF appetite was low and a price deviation+narrative formed about underperformance.

Ryan is correct – the global onchain economy will grow a 1000x and programmable Ethereum will take most due to the L1+L2 model and best security which will make ETH very valuable as its securing the global economy onchain these are young networks and the ’special snowflake’ btc hypothesis will melt as onchain grows
