Chevron Markings - Mysuru Expressway : We can use the arrow shaped 🔰chevron markings on the road to estimate a safe following distance. Keep a 3 second following distance on a dry sunny day. When the vehicle infront had crossed a marking, we cross it in 3 seconds. When we follow this regularly, it becomes a habit when there are no markings as well.

Such is the state of Hyderabad ORR - Heavy vehicles line up in a no-parking zone. And then we wonder why accidents happen. Who are responsible for operating it as per process. No fines/challans for vehicles stopping in no parking zone. These illegal parkings are killing people. And even you could see a guy stopped to urinate. No woman. No girl. No family should ever suffer what the families of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, Mollie Tibbetts, and Maddie Hines endured. This is why we introduced the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act which passed the House last year. The Senate should do their job and follow suit. This is common sense. Americans deserve to feel safe in their own communities. We will always put their safety first.

A few days ago when I posted about a school kid crossing the road from behind an auto, people said we should always cross from the front and the situation is this ! Nobody stops when a school bus stops in India ! The safe option for kids is to wait until the bus moves,have safe clearance on both sides,see and be seen and then cross 🤞 OR must be accompanied by adults(parent or school attender), who do that safely and don't jay walk assuming vehicles would stop 🛑 Dave (Road Safety: City & Highways)
