@NitinGadCurry @DriveSmart_IN There is a reason why there are warning signs for zebra crossings and intersections. When there is a zebra crossing, you are supposed to slow down, you don’t have the right of way.

@NitinGadCurry On high speed roads,giving a zebra crossing without any traffic calming measures is risking pedestrians life too. Underpass must be provided and that zebra crossing is unsafe there

@NitinGadCurry This I agree. But it’s a different matter all together. It’s a road design issue. Now that there is an intersection and a zebra crossing there, it’s your duty as a driver to take all those into account when you are driving down the road. This guy ignores everything and speeds

80% fault of car as Bus has right of way being on the main road. 20% of Bus overtaking from the left (restricting view) and not reducing speed near intersection (He could see the car approaching but chose to press HORN instead)!

All 3 vehicles in this clip are at fault btw. Car: definitely biggest culprit for not waiting. Bus: should be slower on intersection (you’re always suppose to slowdown not sped up) Tanker: driving slow in overtaking lane when it’s advised to keep slow/heavy vehicles to left.

TT parked at a wrong place, Oil Tanker on the right right lane, Not much of space for Bus, car driver should had waited for clearance… bus driver tried to avoid, steered right while almost blocking Oil Tanker…major disaster averted else again LPG tanker incident…

Extremely poor driving from the bus driver here. He had right of way no doubt but that does not mean right to cause accident. He saw the car from a distance and should have slowed down. It is also an inhabited area and a good driver would have dropped down the speed.

The vehicle on the main road has the right of the way, car driver was supposed to wait at intersection. Trucks busses don't have disc brakes like cars , even if they want they can't stop immediately! 🤦

Most of the people couldn’t able to judge the speed of other vehicles. A 120 KMP speed bus will reach u in no time within visibility distance. A 40 KMPH bus will take time . U need to observe the speed rather than the distance

Buses, logistic truck drivers have travel speeds are insane, the moment they see vehicle crossing. Don't slow at intersections, right of way is non existent.

Car driver fault, but bus driver could have anticipated the car approaching the main road and driving like a ghost in intersection. Still car driver have learnt something at least.

Don't get the argument in the comments regarding fault. Both drivers can be wrong at the same time as well. Also, considering that lack of side airbags and how the car rolled after impact, I suspect severe head injuries to the car driver.

see the video in 10th second. car driver should have waited. he did not. but when the car started moving in 10th second, it is already in main road and bus had a 50 meter visibility. bus did not even make an attempt to slow down. clearly bus driver fault as well.

Bus doing an overtake in the left lane near an intersection. Car driver with zero attention span near the same intersection. Car deserved the result. Bus could have been more cautious. Disciplines of driving taken for a toss.

I drive in TN highways. One of the biggest problems are these intersections. And they’re easily solve a problem. Instead of passing straight through, people must turn left, merge, go to the right lane and then at the next intersection, switch to the “median” lane (there’s always an opening wide enough so you can switch and decelerate. Now you can do a U turn and repeat the same but on switching left. Seems like effort - but it’s better than dying. On paper it sounds easy but we’re talking about an Indian driver here so this would be a 10000000x more difficult than asking them to wear a helmet or maintain lane discipline. Also car drivers in India need to understand that you can press the gas and not slow is not safe every time. Numerous middle aged and old drivers think their car would explode if they give it a little gas.

For all those idiots who are saying the bus should have slowed should know that bus in on highway road and travels fast. Only the car which is a slow moving trying to cross should wait for the gap. Learn basics or don’t drive.

Engineering problem from road safety point of view. Don't allow crossings. If allowed it shouldn't be like this. Atleast some speed braker should have slowed that rash driver. Brainless people in Indian administration.

Warnings were clear for the bus. Traveller Parked, Road signs says pedestrian crossing ahead, 2 cars waiting to cross, one already crossing, is clearly visible, yet our man, as usual intimidating driving, crashed on to one of the cars ignoring all basics of driving & safety.

Can we start thinking on road designs? What about banishing cross road access to main roads? Vehicles entering has to take left turn and then take a U turn some distance away from entry point
