This where the paved road ends in Texas- South Padre Island. Beyond it, the developed tourist area gives way to wild dunes, open beach, and the undeveloped northern stretches leading into Padre Island National Seashore. This spot where there are miles and miles of vast open Gulf shoreline and sand dunes, sea turtles and shorebirds. It's less crowded than the southern resort areas and offers a sense of solitude. Not many know of the beauty that South Padre Island offers. It’s like a calming dream with this vast emptiness that stretches for miles on this part of the island. That’s actually one of the main things explored in 2012!! The turtles start off very incompetent and unable to work as a team, even against the kraang. But as the seasons progress they become so accustomed to working together that it almost becomes like a synchronized flow.

The absence of Apex Legends-style recoil smoothing isn't a bug, and previous Battlefield games didn’t have it either. I went as far as datamining and converting the VCR-2's recoil stats from polar to Cartesian values, then reimplemented them in a modified version of BF4 just to see how they would interact with mouse movement. It turns out the behavior is exactly the same.

There is something about the very first TMNT movie from 1990 that still gets me excited to this day. The way the turtles looked, the film colour grading and of course the amazing music by composer John Du Prez. The start of the movie is still one of my favourite scenes of all time and a lot of that is because of the soundtrack. I can still remember my mom taking me to see it, she worked at a large retail clothing company in Cape Town and her work got her early sneak preview tickets. I didn’t believe her when she told me it was a proper ‘real life’ ninja turtles film. It was only once I started watching it that I realised it was an actual movie and I will never forget the excitement when I first saw Raphael’s eyes looking out from the sewer. What a magical memory it was, I would love to know your first turtles movie experience 🐢 Anyway, I recreated the intro music with some modern synthwave flavour ✨ #tmnt #ninjaturtles #nostalgia
