Pep Guardiola needed around £450M in his first two seasons at Manchester City (including a £57M signing in his second January window) just to get players capable of playing his style of football. Mikel Arteta spent close to three seasons at Arsenal before his team began to... consistently dominate games. Todd Boehly invested over £1B at Chelsea before they managed to win two cup titles. Meanwhile, Manchester United fans and the media expect a new manager to walk in and perform instant miracles. What’s the point of a rebuild if we don’t have the patience to see it through? Why heap pressure on ourselves when the last 10 years haven’t exactly been better? Some fans argue Ole was better, some say Jose Mourinho, others Erik ten Hag. But let’s be honest, we complained bitterly under each of them. With Ole, we only came alive in second halves, living off constant comebacks. Jose sacrificed attractive football just to grind out points, and people still wanted him out. Erik tried his way, and the same happened. Now Ruben Amorim is sticking to his philosophy, and rightly so. What’s the point of changing it if professional footballers at Manchester United can’t adapt? These same players go away on international duty, play in completely different systems, and give everything for their national teams. Yet they won’t do the same for the club that gives them a platform to be seen by billions. You don’t need tactical genius to understand that United should never go to Grimsby and look like Grimsby, while Grimsby look like Manchester United. These players couldn’t adapt to Erik ten Hag’s system, couldn’t adapt to Ole’s, couldn’t adapt to Jose’s. Even Louis van Gaal gave up early on. The truth is, we need a cultural reset at this club. Constantly swapping managers every two seasons will never fix the deeper problems. Of course, I’ll still complain, rant, and feel disappointed, that’s only natural. But for me, it’s Ruben Amorim till the end. We started the season with two of the worst goal keeping duo in the league, we went the entire pre season with a striker we were going to sell. Amorim came in and made it clear to the board that he was the manager of the team and not a coach and he was sacked. These are coaches that understood the problem of this club and could have solved it if they were backed by fans and the club. Of particular concern is Amorim, he understood what needed to be done and went about it by clearing the deadwood but United fans only wanted him to win games forgetting we hired him for a rebuild. Rebuilds are hard, difficult and painful. It took Klopp 3 seasons and took Arteta 5 seasons but their clubs were willing to back them and stick with them. Manchester United is happy to bend to the whims of fans and sack managers without dealing with the main problems. We need to rebuild this club and Michael Carrick is not the man to do the job, we need a forward thinking manager. Any coach who wants Rashford back in his squad is not a serious coach and should be sacked.

We often launched the ball to our strikers to beat press, he did the same at Sporting CP with Gyokeres and that caused our team needing to run so much because when we lose the second ball, we were in trouble.. It’s more about athleticism to him than techniques.. He never wanted players that are comfortable on the ball instead he likes players that can pick long passes so they can move the ball as quickly forward as possible and that’s why he never rated Mainoo.. Sometimes as fans, we are mostly focused on how the achievements of the team means to us and we forget about the players. How they feel about it, what it means for them to win these games. Take Noni Madueke for instance, his transfer to Arsenal was a mess. A lot of the fans didn't understand the move and there was a lot of displeasure about it online. How do you think that made Madueke feel? This is a guy who was on top of his game in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea and everything changed for him. He went from a confident dribbling monster, fighting for silverware to whatever he was at Chelsea, a shadow of himself. Arteta on Gyokeres: “Well, I think the level of attention on him hasn't changed since he signed to today. It's normal. Everybody was so excited to bring a nine into the club. We did it, we brought a player with an incredible goalscoring record that had to adapt to the league. “He had no preseason, the first few weeks were difficult because physically he wasn't in his best state and he's a player that needs that, like any other player in this league, almost to perform at that level. “Then he kicked on, I think he had a really good period and got injured. And now it's better.
