Look dev. Just exploring visuals and atmosphere. Saw a cool visual effect by Osmg and decided to give it a try, it's like a jiggly unstable transportation. Reminds me also of the Metal Slug arcade games. Done in Three.js using TSL. Improvised a VHS post processing effect.

It doesn't look like tessellation, it appears to have artifacts from a screen-space effect. I believe they are using the height maps from every PBR material in the game to create some sort of screen space displacement mapping.

What's strange to me is that there's a bunch of really sick visual experiments being achieved with Three.js /tsl, but very few actual games. This is one of the best ones I've seen so far.. Give me more examples!

Bit of gamedev magic. The page flipping in Exiled is actually just a bunch of models that I turn on and off quickly to LOOK like a page flipping. It's possible to get a similar effect with plugins but this was the easier option.

Bit of a Sunday experiment, I implemented an xBR4 effect. Since the Sea Sniffers art uses lots of straight lines, it's super clean. Why am I implementing this in a pixelart game? I have an idea of using it as part of a certain gameplay aspect, kind of as a visual polish thing. You'll just have to wait and see :p

I was really mesmerized by the effect of the intro in Mario Kart 8, so I kinda recreated it on iOS using a shader while also studying Liquid Glass. It took a lot of time, but it was very fun and definitely worth it.
