On October 23, Border Patrol Agents conducted enforcement operations near 27th and Whipple Ave. A large crowd of 75- 100 rioters surrounded law enforcement who set up a perimeter after agents were boxed in by a large box truck. Rioters then shot at agents with commercial artillery shell fireworks. A Border Patrol transport van carrying illegal aliens attempting to get to the safety of the perimeter was then attacked. Border Patrol agents were able to secure the van and get it into the perimeter. The mob of rioters grew more hostile and violent, advancing toward agents and began throwing rocks and other objects at agents, including one that struck Chief Greg Bovino in the head. Border Patrol agents repeated multiple warnings to back up and that chemical agents would be deployed if warnings were ignored. This is why we can’t have nice things, and it’s mostly due to the zero impulse control of blacks that do things like start throwing punches at one another or throwing chairs at Sheriff’s Deputies’ vehicles in the middle of a parade while families with young children are forced to witness it all. Thankfully, deputies caught up with and arrested both the suspects who instigated it all and tried to flee.

No, this video is not in reverse. An officer from the Caledon OPP Traffic Enforcement Uniit stopped this vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign while cruising in reverse. Although the driver did technically stop, it was in the middle of an intersection, which is not the appropriate place to stop. The driver was charged accordingly. Caledon OPP would like to remind motorists that posted stop signs apply to both vehicles traveling in forward and reverse. People keep begging them to let the pregnant woman off her stomach, to stop putting weight on her body. The agents refuse. The crowd grows louder and more desperate, because they are watching someone who could lose her pregnancy, right in front of them, at the hands of ICE agents. Only after the crowd begins throwing snowballs is the pregnant woman able to get off her stomach. And then it gets worse. The ICE agents begin pepper spraying the crowd. One agent drags the pregnant woman by the arm while she is still helpless and restrained. Pepper spray fills the air, hitting bystanders and the pregnant woman herself as she lies on the ground beneath them. This is not “law enforcement.” This is cruelty. This is reckless endangerment. This is state violence carried out in public, on camera, against a pregnant woman who posed no threat. The First Amendment protects the right to record law enforcement, and federal agents, carrying out their duties in public. And federal regulations specifically recognize that people can record publicly accessible federal activity from public sidewalks, and streets, when they aren’t impeding or disrupting operations. Then, the agent says: “Stop following us, you aren’t going to like the outcome.” That is a serious First Amendment retaliation issue. And then it gets even more dangerous. The same armed federal agents, who just threatened these people with weapons and retaliation… surround the citizens’ car and claim THEY are blocking traffic. But look at the video. A vehicle stop requires reasonable suspicion of an actual legal violation. And recording and observing ICE agents, from a public place, is not obstruction. It is not illegal. Government agents are supposed to be accountable to the people… not the other way around. The First Amendment protects your right to watch and record your government. The Fourth Amendment limits the government’s power to stop and detain you. And neither one comes with an ICE exception.
