Definitely workable stuff - I’m sure he’s worked with CHJ and Boyd the most - needs work with 4 - looks like he can chuck the rock - needs lots of reps

He moves in the pocket extremely well. Light years better than Sayin. He’s fluid and the ball isn’t under thrown. The INT was blatant PI even though he probably shouldn’t have made the throw…but he led the receiver & it was on time. The kid will be fine.

His height isn't a big issue. 1 inch taller than Bryce Young. Has plenty of experience from 4 years of top tier HS football. He also will 100% run with the ball and move out of the pocket. It all comes down to can he deliver dimes.

I’m not even trying to be dramatic but I have never seen Julian Sayin stand in the pocket and progress from 1 to 2, to 3, to 4 and reset his eyes and feet every time like this kid does. His pocket presence is nice, he doesn’t panic, and he seems to move to the next read easy

The kid is going to be okay. He beat out TSC this spring and Day seems to trust him. People killing him for being thrown into a top 5 road game against a great defense. And he didn’t lose the game. He’ll be okay.

Recruiting rankings only made him a high 3 star prospect as well. If you check the reasoning behind that, they just feel he is a low ceiling QB. High IQ but with his frame and playstyle, they don't see him as a NFL level QB. Doesn't mean he can't do well at the college level.

This would be great if we were playing ball state. But we’re playing #16 USC at their home field.

He sucks. This is against Ball State. USC and Oregon will eat him alive.

Some good some bad, standard freshman. Not afraid to go deep, some good pocket movement. Needs time but has some talent. Has to work on timing with the starters. Would like to see Henry or Bell get on the field more since they’ve worked together a lot.

He maneuvers the pocket better than Sayin, decision making and accuracy will be the big Q after he settles in.

Fahey also played basketball and lacrosse. So he’s a true at athlete, and he won CA state championships and put up better numbers than Sayin in high school. All Sayin did in high school was pass a lot with not a lot of wins. Fahey threw for over 3,000 yards in HS.

We can work with this, as long as O Line gives him time.
