We don't believe Tariffs are inflation. Tariffs are additional levies and TAXES on TOP of what we were already paying for the product . Shirt = $25 +sales tax. Tariff applied to shirt is 50%. Shirt is now $37.50 + SALES Tax. Cuz Shirt cost ⬆️ $ = ⬇️ causing INFLATION.

Sure, a tariff is not necessarily inflation, that is true. A tariff IS a tax, though. Once the products reach the port, the US company has to pay that tariff. It's an import tax. Tariffs DO accelerate inflation by creating that one-time price increase.

What? That made no sense. I bought $1,000 of stuff from UK… when it got to US I got a message saying “pay $299 in tariffs” or the item gets returned in a week. That $299 is my personal inflation… I paid 30% more due to tariffs. (Tariffs aren’t technically inflation… he’s splitting hairs. But tariffs are definitely a consumer tax… and that tax contributes to overall inflation.)
