I can understand why wealthy people are on edge. When you constantly demonize successful people as the enemy, it isn't shocking when someone decides to act on it.

Roseanne Barr’s show got cancelled for a stupid tweet. We used to have very high standards for respecting the presidency and working in media… just not when it applies to Trump.

Elon Musk deserves every single penny he has made. And I hope he becomes the world’s first trillionaire. He’s using his wealth to help blind people see and paralyzed people walk. I’d rather that money stay in his hands than go to Elizabeth Warren, who’d likely see it wasted on fraud in Somalia or some other government boondoggle. Yes, he has a massive slice of the pie — but he’s made the entire pie dramatically bigger for everyone on Earth. That’s why we enjoy a higher quality of life than any civilization in human history. Capitalism isn’t just worth defending, it’s worth celebrating.

There’s a key difference between micro decisions and macro policy. On a personal level, conservatives believe empathy is noble which is why conservatives consistently give far more to charity than liberals. But letting it drive public policy — like opening our borders or providing free needles to drug addicts — is suicidal. We conflate the two at our peril.

Last night, as chants of "USA" in support of the men's hockey team broke out, Rashida Tlaib mouthed "KKK." As republicans stood to show they stand for American citizens over illegal aliens, Ilhan Omar screamed at and heckled Trump. That juxtaposition of Trump with two bitter and out of touch women is exactly the imagery the GOP needs.

He knows rent control fails — it restricts supply and worsens shortages — and his own tenant organizer Cea Weaver wrote about that problem in a 2025 essay. “It is true that a rent freeze, without additional intervention, risks deepening the crises within the market… Owners may choose not to invest…” That leaves the door open for government to snatch up property — and Mamdani’s new plan does just that. In 2020 he said the quiet part out loud: if guaranteeing housing requires “the abolition of private property,” that would be “preferable” to the current system. His allies are even more explicit — calling homeownership and private property a “weapon of white supremacy.” Freezing the rent was never the end goal — it’s an opportunity to abolish private property and give government more control.
