Made a video about how future is so great about using sounds and inflections in his music.

Real fucking journalism

The fr my favorite video I’ve made so far lmao

While I agree Thug is likely a huge influence, just wanna mention the King’s Dead verse, the first in this trend, was a Kendrick decision. He decided to keep some cutting room floor takes that Future was whatever about, and make them real. Seems like that opened him up creatively

Okay this is great insight I love this thank you 🙏🏾

You forgot about this gem right here! Lol probably one of the greatest random sound Future songs. This is where it first began in my opinion lol

Probably not gonna be a common thing for me to post here but I really like this video and if it’s gets flagged on Tik Tok or IG at least it’ll be seen here!

His closed jaw style singing on PLUTOSKI is low-key just a return to how he first blew up with the Tony Montana track. He said an interview back then he would get so high that he could hardly open his mouth in the studio.

So he’s stimming ???

Really good video!!

Thank youuuuuuuu!!!

He also does it on Scrape and I’m So Groovy back to back on the Future album. It’s throughout - consistent part of the vocal performance. That’s the thing with Future - it’s a vocal performance before anything.

@OGBeefJones Like that, I love that whistle he does at the end of his bars

group home on super slimey where he’s rapping like he’s got a sore throat. also the off tune singing on superstar off slime language 2

This song is still hard ngl 😂

Glad people like the video! Dont want to get into the habit of this being a content page cause like…there no real potential here in that sense BUT feel free to follow me on IG: Tik tok:

I don’t like this take. This was the most commercial/outsider take. This was something a non-cultural person would say. The adlibs, noises, sounds etc is the culture, it’s what we do! Also Future took that Plutoski sound from Thug.

Real quick: the whistle in “pardon me” was a call back to Gucci’s “Vette Pass By.” One eastside legend showing love to another.

Absolutely love this. Brilliantly done.. I glanced at the comments and couldnt find it, but i consider Rihanna's Loooooove Song the first time he experimented with this concept, he did it as an adlib right after he says "impression" for the first time: that *uoh oh oh* guttural sound.

w vid gang. ppl dont understand future is trying to have a conversation greater than english language can provide on these records .. its a feeling something in your dna .. you either been there yourself or you felt it too. which makes sense music is an expression convo.

more subtle example, but: - run he hits on the last bar of the intro - how “red and yellow” becomes basically unintelligible on the hook - how he holds “in” on the hook - chain noises he leaves in verse 1

He killed Pardon Me

That’s that freedom of creative expression 😂 plus they all fit each song which is 🔥

Gotta add verse 2 of “Charge Dem Hoes a Fee” to the playlist

sup mate is a generational song

Now I’m think about Woo by Rihanna which is a song that essentially hinges on these exact kind of add-libs. I feel like Travis has also always been chasing a similar sound as far as vocals but with more post production assistance

This where it started

My androgynous homie, this was great reporting

gotta add d4l, money counter BRRRRRRRRRR

Plutoski is jus Atlanta slang

My Bro 30 Roc Produce Kings Dead and Pardoned Me🤞🏾🔥🤣

Please share the link for that playlist. Great video.

Tight video

he was doing that bullshit on karate chop lol

I need that playlist but ayo this is hilarious cuz I said the same thing about Plutoski in 2024😂😂😂😂

future the greatest rapper thats ever existed no question

Poppin Tags and I’m so Groovy are great examples too

Buddies break down was actually interesting
