Pi-GUI now has computer use and a build in integrated terminal! v0.1.0-beta.26 To showcase the power of Mario Zechner 's Pi and OSS, I saw a pi computer-use extension on X, asked my agent to audit the extension for security, then asked it to patch pi-gui to make it compatible. Crazy how easy it was to find an oss extension for a feature I wanted, then make pi-gui work with the feature I want. Links below

NAIVE FOOLS! 😤 The KYC grace period is over. More than two-thirds of my Pi referrals have disappeared for one reason or another. Because of that, I’ve lost over 90% of my estimated Pi rewards from my Referral Team and Security Circle. On top of that, I’m also losing my unclaimed mobile balance tied to their contributions. Pi was built when there were already agent harnesses around. Here’s why Mario Zechner(Mario Zechner), found them suboptimal and built Pi, a minimalist self-modifying agent: #1 - Mario initially was a believer in Claude Code: "I was a believer in Claude code because they were the first that packaged agentic search up in a really compelling package. And at the time that fit my workflow really well. Everything around the LLM was kind of nice and tidy and easy to understand. I was super happy. I was proselytising Claude code." #2 - Reverse engineering Claude Code highlighted the degradation that Mario felt as a user: "I personally like simple tools that are stable and that I can rely on. Even if they have non-deterministic parts, all the deterministic parts should be as stable as possible. That was just not the experience with Claude Code around summer 2025. They would take away your control of the context. They would inject stuff behind your back, which is bad. Then, your workflows stopped working because there's now a system reminder that you don't even see in the UI that would modify the behaviour of the model. They would also do this to the system prompt. I built a little service where I can track the progression or evolution of the system, prompt and tool definitions and, with every release, it was messing with stuff. That just messed with my workflows and I don't appreciate that." #3 - PI was built with an appreciation for simple and reliable tools: "If I commit to a development tool, I want it to be a stable, reliable thing like a hammer. I don't want my hammer to break a different spot every day. That's terrible. We need somebody who goes the full velocity kind of way. But I don't want to work with a tool like that."

Speaking of graphs... here is something I wanted to build since 3 months, and finally had the chance to, thanks to Pi I often have these sequence of prompts that emerge while I work. Not just sequences but conditionals that necessitate control flow For example, one workflow that resembles socratic questioning: 1. Discuss some problem 2. "What is the most elegant and long-term production ready solution for this?" -> Agent replies 3. "Is that the holy grail?" 4. Agent can reply "yes it is, basically" or "no, it is not, it is instead ..." 5. If yes, continue to "autoimplement". If no, think about it and decide what to do And "autoimplement" is a single prompt of 6-7 sequential steps, which I've been meaning to make more deterministic as well But I wasn't sure how to build it I had previously built acpx workflows to be a swiss army knife, "something like n8n, but can drive codex through deterministic steps, nodes in a graph. or claude code. or pi. it uses acp..." But it had one problem. It was run from outside the harness, like a CI orchestrator I wanted to integrate acpx into pi. Because pi was the only CLI that could enable building of such a thing. But I wasn't sure how to reconcile a general ACP-based tool into a single coding agent I was being too accommodative of all the other harnesses, claude code, codex. I was trying to be too general I have changed my mind since then ACP is great and lets you integrate a harness into other software in cool ways But maybe, if a harness is proprietary, does not accept outside contributions, or does not even *support ACP*, maybe, it does not deserve cool features 😤 (they know who they are) So I ripped out ACP, and built it natively, only for pi No need for a web viewer... Just view it in a native widget, right inside pi! I cannot put into words how awesome it is to be able to do this! I am still tinkering, discovering. I’ve been working on dunk. It’s a terminal diff reviewer where you mark issues inline, then let a coding agent fix them. It started as a fork of hunk, but I stripped it down to the loop I need: review → my comments → agent fixes I’m spending time reviewing code and leaving comments for agents rather than writing code myself. But in most tools, that feedback loop still feels broken. dunk is a simple way to make it work across Claude Code, Codex, Pi, etc.

This introduces a product-first token launch mechanism where $Pi proceeds flow directly into liquidity pools rather than to issuing projects. Pi Launchpad is the primary means to get quality ecosystem tokens on Mainnet. Protocol 20, the technical foundation enabling smart contract capabilities, has been deployed across all major nodes, and the Mainnet upgrade is complete this week.
