Hey guys! Today is my birthday 🎉 To celebrate, I decided to drop a little before/after comparison from one of the projects I worked on. This was a small animated sequence for a feature-length film and the main challenge was achieving very realistic, hand-drawn textures in every single frame. I think it turned out pretty great, literally every frame here is unique and made purely by human hands. No shortcuts, just love, patience and a lot of pixels🤙🏻✨

A 10 month old surrendered to the New York Animal Care Centers with the excuse(s) NO TIME and MOVING. They made it perfectly clear she was unwanted. After digging for more info, it seems this poor puppy seems to have come from a major hoarding situation where there were 16 dogs and 9 puppies were confiscated. Little by little they were coming to the shelter. We are so grateful that a new foster stepped up to save her life. They also saved another dog Mr Brisby 212361 who will be joining the family after he gets neutered. Welcome to Pound Hounds ResQ Bella. You're #outtathestinkinshelter

This deserves a thumbs up! 👍 But give me a moment, my fine motor skills are still developing. As your little one grows, their physical (or “motor”) development happens on two interrelated planes: “Gross motor” development relates to the use of large muscle groups in the arms, legs and core used to balance, crawl, walk and jump (to name a few). And “fine motor” development describes the development of the small and precise muscle movements needed to manipulate your hands, wrists, fingers, feet, and toes. Both categories take time and practice to develop, with fine motor skills tending to trail gross motor skills in their refinement. Which makes sense. Fine motor skills are all about precision. Which leads us to this sweet little guy, who wants to celebrate by flashing a thumbs up to his mom and dad… but requires a little extra time and effort to get his thumbs to cooperate. Fine motor skills are critical to writing/drawing, the use of scissors, and the manipulation of things like buttons and zippers, just to name a few. You can help aid this development by providing lots of safe opportunities for your little one to practice strengthening the muscles of the hands and wrists, for example. Finger paint, crayons, play-doh, and eating utensils are all great options. Anything that will engage these small muscle groups. .22 lr is arguably the worst choice for a self defense round. People who tell you otherwise are either misinformed or are trying to justify their poor choices. Terrible penetration, small round with very little kinetic energy. Inherently unreliable due to the nature of rimfire cartridges. Only advantages: Cheap Low recoil Quiet when suppressed It's biggest advocates will say "bet you won't let me shoot you with one" TRUE. I won't let you shoot me with a rubber band either. They're fun for plinking, good for practice and small game but outside of that, are useless. Better than a pointy stick? Of course. But you're about to enter a gunfight on expert mode.

I made a nice little customization to the Rigify rig. Rigify has a setting to switch between "toe-tip roll" and "toe on the ground" ... but it's a property. To bring it to the viewport I set a driver to switch between the two states by scaling of the heel control. Then I created some shapekeys for the shape of the control to make it reflect the state of the foot. Also, there is a dot on the shape which is controlled by another shapekey. The dot is big only when the toe is fully down or fully up, otherwise it's tiny. #b3d #rigify #rigtip

Gather - work in progress what if your notes app felt more like a physical notebook? you can have pages with your notes, your tasks, your thoughts, your inspiration and organize them in a way that is meaningful to you. each page is a little canvas. it might look a little bit like a gimmick, but once you try it, you might feel differently. when designing Gather, Ajay Sabs and i draw our inspiration more than anything from physical things. we’ve always wanted to try and re-create some of the feelings and romanticism we associate with physical notebooks, books and magazines. we’ve always felt there was something special about how pages have an order and how you’re mind creates visual and spatial connections depending on how things are organized - particularly things that you’ve written, revisit often or have a significance to you. the notebook view is an idea we’ve played with for a very long time. and its a lot more than just swiping between pages. this is just a little peek. we are also working on other views that are optimized for different use-cases and different modes of thinking. we’re excited to share some of those soon.

Here we are again, taking another peaceful walk around the hospital grounds beneath this beautiful warm sunshine. It feels so good to finally get you outside these walls and share these moments with you, just the two of us. With every day that passes, I see a little more progress, a little more of you coming back. You take in the world with fresh eyes, the cherry blossoms in full bloom, the sweet scent of freshly cut grass, the cheerful songs of the birds, and the low rumble of cars passing by on the road. I look at you and my heart swells with admiration. You are so beautiful, so incredibly strong, and I am endlessly proud of every stride you’ve made to reach this very moment. I can’t wait to see all the strides still ahead of you. I love you, Maya. Forever and always. ❤️

Kitten update #8: The kitties are back home! Everyone is getting very strong and active now. I forgot to take their weights this morning so I'll have to do it before the next feeding, but I'm confident everyone is continuing to gain. We started adding in some wet food today. I mixed up a slurry with some of the formula and stuck it in a syringe with a nipple on it. Nobody took to it right away except gray tuxedo, who loved it, but everyone else got some squirted in while they were chewing on the milk nipple and then they loved it. Well, except for dark tortie, which is a little ironic since she is by far the biggest little monster of the litter, but I guess she's done so well on the formula she's not interested in making a change yet. Butts are all looking SO much better now that I stopped using the wet wipes. However, we have now started to have some concerns about little to no pooping. Dark tortie hasn't pooped for 24 hours so I eliminated the yogurt from the formula and am crossing my fingers for some action before the end of the day or back to the vet she goes. I don't know how long they'll let me play with their tummies like this but it sure is fun for now!

I am very proud of my work at Royal Caribbean, and I was honored to be set the complex task of reinventing their entire entertainment product from the ground up (by Lisa Lutoff-Perlo and Michael Bayley), and to make it the very best in the industry, if not the world. This lofty mission resulted in an incredibly rewarding decade for all involved. Massive changes delivered massive results. Job done👍. So, as a way to recognize the incredible support that the brand gave to all of my ideas, concepts, developments and inventions (and as a fun way to give back), I always included the famous “Crown & Anchor” logo in every entertainment production. Sometimes I did this openly and loudly and sometimes more subtly, as an “easter egg” for people to discover. It’s always there tho. (Have you spotted all of them?) Here are three examples of my not-so-top-secret “Show The Logo” strategy. – An example of a small hidden one, a medium-sized subtle one, and a LOUD ‘n’ PROUD HUGE ONE, that hides from nobody. Happy hunting. 😉

subagents are just recursive agents where you can apply different prompts + models depending on the task. since they’re just a primitive, Cursor cli can actually spawn subagents by calling cursor-agent in headless mode via shell commands. that’s what makes the cli so nice. you can extend it, experiment, and have a lot of fun exploring orchestration patterns. here’s one way to do it w. dynamic model selection: 1. create a subagents.mdc rule 2. drop in: ``` --- alwaysApply: true --- ALWAYS spawn subagents by running `cursor-agent -p [task] --output-format=text --force --model [model]` in the terminal. Each subagent should return a summary of the changes it made. Subagents should be used for ALL tasks You can adopt a fan-out pattern where you spawn subagents to perform parallel isolated tasks, and then fan-in the results. Use the following models: - `--model gpt-5` for reasoning, researching, and planning - `--model sonnet-4` for implementation ``` 3. start cursor cli and try it out you can also adjust the rule to be more explicit when it should use subagents, when not to, which models when etc.

subagents are just recursive agents where you can apply different prompts + models depending on the task. since they’re just a primitive, Cursor cli can actually spawn subagents by calling cursor-agent in headless mode via shell commands. that’s what makes the cli so nice. you can extend it, experiment, and have a lot of fun exploring orchestration patterns. here’s one way to do it w. dynamic model selection: 1. create a subagents.mdc rule 2. drop in: ``` --- alwaysApply: true --- ALWAYS spawn subagents by running `cursor-agent -p [task] --output-format=text --force --model [model]` in the terminal. Each subagent should return a summary of the changes it made. Subagents should be used for ALL tasks You can adopt a fan-out pattern where you spawn subagents to perform parallel isolated tasks, and then fan-in the results. Use the following models: - `--model gpt-5` for reasoning, researching, and planning - `--model sonnet-4` for implementation ``` 3. start cursor cli and try it out you can also adjust the rule to be more explicit when it should use subagents, when not to, which models when etc.

Update on Lulu: She's doing very well! 😍 Eating, brighter, pooping and peeing normally and her wound is looking great 👍🏻💪🏼😍 We are bringing her home today 😁🙏🏻 I'm sure she'll thrive when she's in her own surrounding with familiar faces. She needs around 3 months to recover fully, which will be a real pain for her, because she loves being in the thick of it 😩😂 Thank you once again to everyone who made it possible for our Lulu to have the treatment and surgery.
