New open-source agent harness just landed! I got early access to TrueForge by TrueFoundry and have been running it locally for the past few days. The harness layer deserves as much attention as the model, and open source matters here because you can inspect the loop, run it on your own infrastructure, and swap to the latest or cheaper models. TrueForge handles the runtime work that makes an agent reliable. It drives the tool-calling loop, manages context, coordinates subagents, and executes code in a sandbox, with any model you choose. Every tool call re-sends the growing context to the model, so in practice the harness controls most of what an agent costs to run. A few things stood out from my testing and their published benchmarks. Vendor-Neutral by design. It runs OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models alongside open-weight models like Kimi, GLM, and DeepSeek. Model routing is a setting, and you can send each task to the model that fits it. On a 14-task enterprise agent benchmark, it matched the accuracy of Claude Managed Agents running the same Opus 4.8 model at roughly 30% lower cost per run (3.8M tokens vs 10M for the same answers). Routing the same tasks to GLM-5.2 held accuracy and brought cost down by about 75%, around $3 per run instead of $12. Fully self-hosted and Open Source (MIT License). I had it running locally with one command, with sandboxed code execution working out of the box. It's time to own your agent harness. Thanks to TrueFoundry for partnering on this post.

Updated the subagents system in my custom Pi extension to include: - Pi subagents - Codex subagents - Claude Code subagents The Pi thread can call and spin up any of them, and instead of just using the "codex exec" or whatever, it'll do a tool call that wraps it up in a first class way. Have a decent UI for them already added in as well. Pi being the main thread then having Codex/Claude Code as tools when needed feels so good. A flow I'm already using a ton is: "Implement feature ___, have a cc fable subagent research and plan out the api design + feature, then have a codex subagent implement it, then have a cc fable subagent do a review/fixes focused on simplicity and correctness" I also have a dynamic workflows extension setup and working, but it's not nearly as polished yet. Probably gonna make the subagent system more robust, then built it around that so u could have a workflow that flows between codex/cc/pi...

warp code feels like a combination of a cli agent and cursor-style ux design it's a cli that looks like an ide because it gives you: - editor code view - project explorer - one-click to view command output - switch between agent/cli - context/credit spend tracking - task lists - shared context with warp drive there is a learning curve because it's a different workflow, but the agent was top of terminal bench until recently and i can see why would love to see them add: - subagents - an agent sdk - sidebar fonts increasing with cmd +/- not being paid to post this, btw (feel like i have to add that these days 😉) i have been using warp for a long while as a terminal and sometimes agent on the $15/mo plan

I still think Hermes agent is the most slept-on AI tool of 2026. For literally $6/mo, you can launch multiple subagents that work for you 24/7. Practical example: → Research agent: scans your watchlist and competitors overnight, delivers a morning brief → Content agent: drafts and schedules your posts based on what's trending in your niche → Ops agent: manages your inbox, flags anything urgent, drafts replies for your review All three can run simultaneously and improve over time. How to start: 1. Install Hermes Terminal command: curl -fsSL | bash (can also download desktop) 2. Prompting Simply tell Hermes directly: "I want to run separate subagents for [task 1], [task 2], and [task 3]. Set them up to run independently and report back to me." For the cheapest setup, you can use a $4/month VPS with Hostinger, plug in DeepSeek V4 Flash as your default model. There isn't another AI tool with this much value in 2026. Hermes is still so underrated.

✨ I can now generate 3d assets for my drone sim at directly from Cursor (sponsor of #vibejam) I need buildings that you'd see in a war torn city, like warehouses in ruins, broken down abandoned houses, bombed out bridges etc. Nano Banana Pro or 2 can generate them really well and then you can put them in an image-to-3d model and you get a GLB or FBX That one you can then import into your Three.js game, the models might be big though, in my case like 16MB, so I ask it to compress it and make it more low poly so it loads fast ThreeJS then loads the individual GLBs on page load and puts them in my drone sim somewhere randomly, I think I should remove some of the grass and match the sandy color of the ruins though to make it fit in more

ok first impressions of claude 3.7 sonnet max on cursor VERY good at planning out your project first - seems to have way more of an understanding of the codebase i had it whip up a set of instructions to create a cursor rules tool that lets you mix/match and output in the format you want (including .cursor/rules/{rule}.mdc, .windsurfrules, .clinerules and legacy .cursorrules) still struggled with new versions of packages and i need to riff on the ui but this is impressive and i'll be using it more to plan features with!

Codex update 0.105.0 is out! Despite the fairly pedestrian changelog, this one's a doosie. It's a laundry list of quality of life improvements across the board. - Wispr Voice dictation (hold space to talk) - Theme picker - Codex can prevent sleep on Linux & Windows (I just know there's a joke in there) - Customize Plan Mode reasoning - Many other fixes/updates There's also a complete overhaul to subagents: - New names for readability - Visual display overhaul (way cleaner) - Allow for multi-layered subagent depth (max_depth) - Custom multi-agent role definitions (custom subagents) - /agents now shows both agent names, agent roles, and "dead agents" for auditibility This is the largest single update of Codex I've ever seen! Absolutely massive if you love to use multi-agents. To turn on Voice Transcription, enable: [features] voice_transcription = true Does not work on Linux yet. Well done OpenAI Developers 👏

not sure why nobody is talking about this but Google Omni is insane at video editing Original Video (left) vs Omni Edited Video (right) everyone is comparing it to Seedance and missing the point completely. Seedance is for generating videos from scratch. Google Omni is for editing videos that already exist. which are two completely different use cases this is like when Nano Banana 1 first came out and nobody realized how big it was going to be. this is the first AI that can actually properly edit videos.. i've generated a few hundred videos with this model and it can do literally any type of edit you can think of. changing voices, swapping characters, removing watermarks, adding captions, transitions, pop ups, whatever. if you can describe the edit you want it can do it this completely crushes every other model on the market when it comes to video editing. nothing else even comes close right now and this is just the flash model. imagine what the pro version is going to be able to do when it drops in a couple months this should have way more hype than it's getting..
