US national debt just hit $39.4 trillion. Nearly 75% of it has been accumulated since the 2008 financial crisis. We’re now paying over $1 trillion a year just to service the debt, more than we spend on national defense. Deficits are still running at $1.8–2 trillion annually, so both the principal and the interest tab keep exploding. And CBO projects interest costs will roughly double this decade. We’re going to be paying for it with higher taxes on working families and their kids, printing money that drives up the cost of living, or eventually slashing future benefits. And neither party wants to stop it.

These are likely hard working legal immigrants. These are the people we appreciate and want to protect! Immigrants who came here to LA, set up a business, pay taxes ….and care about our officers because they keep them safe! Protestors/rioters need to stop equating all immigrants with ILLEGAL CRIMINALS. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! Respect our residents. And MUCHAS GRACIAS to these lovely people who helped our officers!

Seniors Told to Take Out Reverse Mortgages While Taxes Keep Rising The Mayor of Pickering says “we were elected to make decisions on behalf of the people.” Well — I was elected too. And I can almost guarantee that 100% of the people who voted for me, and at least 95% of all residents across Pickering and Durham, do not want higher taxes. People are already struggling. Seniors are trying to stay in the homes they worked their entire lives to pay off. Families are choosing between food and fuel. And when concerns were raised about seniors being pushed out of their homes by rising taxes, the Mayor’s response was for them to take out a reverse mortgage — to borrow against their homes just to survive government-imposed costs. That is not compassion. That is not fiscal responsibility. That is your government telling seniors to liquidate their dignity instead of changing priorities. Being elected does not give you a mandate to ignore hardship. It gives you a duty to protect the people — not push them further into debt. I will not support higher taxes while residents are already in survival mode.

A viewer asked Asmongold why he cares so much about illegal immigration. He said it's because he's a Texas resident and he's seen how undocumented immigrants overwhelm public services and commit more crimes. But in reality, undocumented immigrants commit the LEAST crime, at less than half the rate of US born citizens. Documented immigrants are the second lowest. (See Texas data below). As for "overwhelming public services", the rate of population growth in Texas has been highly consistent at around 2% annually for the last century. In fact, the growth rate is gradually slowing. So a "surge in undocumented immigrants" does not explain public services being overwhelmed. But while Asmongold focuses his vitriol on the poorest, brownest, most law abiding and most working class demographic, he ignores the elephant in the state... The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, is now worth three quarters of a trillion dollars and he resides in Texas, where he pays ZERO income tax. And his companies, also located in Texas, receive billions in tax breaks and subsidies. An uncritical thinker like Asmongold might excuse these handouts by claiming it attracts business to the state, resulting in a net positive effect... But then why aren't public services properly funded? The GDP of Texas just saw a 6.8% annual growth rate while population growth remained BELOW the century long average of 2%. Where is all the money going? Instead of blaming the biggest parasite, Elon Musk, Asmongold blames undocumented immigrants who pay roughly 9% of their income in state and local taxes (sales, property, etc.), just like the rest of the middle and working class. Except undocumented immigrants are BLOCKED from accessing many social services. Meanwhile, the wealthiest Texas residents pay closer to 4% (and even less for Musk). So to return to the original question of why Asmongold cares about illegal immigration, the answer is actually quite simple.
